Posya putra Yog [ obtaining a child not his own ]

The combination which indicates that the person will adopt a child :

I am quoting the relevant lines from a famous book Crux of Vedic Astrology [ COVA] by shri Sanjay Rath. This book is considered as the best in the Jamini tradition of astrology.

Posya Putra Yog or obtaining of a child, not his own, is seen when the fifth house [ house of progeny] or lord is associated with the signs of mercury or Saturn. If the fifth house is also conjoined or aspected by Saturn and Mandi, this causes denial of children. ï¿½ï¿½ page 172, COVA.

Yog for being adopted :

The same combinations when associated with the 9th house [ house of father] indicates that such a person could get adopted, or may not be brought up by his biological father. [in the south Indian system the 9th house represents the father. We in the north consider the 10th house as representing father.]

Now have a look at the horoscope under discussion. The 9th house is Gemini [ mercury] and is aspected by Saturn. This indicates that he could have been adopted.

There could be other yog for being adopted also which I am not aware of.

[ correction : In the janma kundali you have mentioned the Rahu is in the 8th and Mars is in the 9th ; just request you to be careful ]
