In this case the almonds seem to be offered to strengthen the Saturn. Had rahu not been a part of this combination, Jupiter would have helped Saturn to stay strong. With the presence of Rahu even Jupiter cannot help the Saturn because jahan rahu hoga guru vahan chup hoga. Therefore the help [ almonds ] from out side has to be sent. The indication of Jupiter staying dumb is given through the statement that sadhu [ Jupiter] trunk [ Saturn ] uthaye to mushqil se hi trunk pahunchega, even if the Jupiter tries to help Saturn it might not be successful.
