Dear Kiranjit ji,

 

I am afraid I can't agree with your statement " to understand it one

has to be of the level of Roop Lal Ji. "

 

Do you mean to say that every one of us who is making an effort to

understand the Lal Kitab is wasting our time?

 

Do you mean to say that unless we are as enlightened as Pt.

Rupchandji we will not be able to understand the book? Or our

efforts wouldn't lead us anywhere.

 

Please for God's sake let the Lal Kitab be a valuable book of

astrology, do not make a sacrosanct scripture out of it.

 

I consider it as difficult or easy as Jamini sutra or brihat

parashar hora. No less no more.

 

Another thing I disagree with is the notion that the Lal Kitab is

independent of Vedic astrology and is a complete system in itself. I

consider the Lal Kitab as an off-shoot of the age old Vedic system,

hence inter-dependent.

 

Having said that, studying the Lal Kitab is not mixing two

contradictory systems. As a matter of fact studying of the Lal Kitab

by a Vedic astrologer would result in a beneficial alliance between

two complementary systems which would enrich the both.

 

Another thing I disagree with is your statement " LK is meant for

laymen who after getting their horoscope prepared,can do the needful

themselves. " I have yet to find a more difficult book on astrology

than the Lal Kitab. I must have read all the classics of the Vedic

astrology, none of them is as difficult as the Lal Kitab.

 

The book is so dificult that I have yet to find a Lal Kitab scholar

who seems to have understood the concepts of " 35 sala

chakkar " , " dhoke ka grah " , " grahon ki mahadasha " , " grahon ki umra

aur khanon ki umra " . There are hardly any scholars who understand

the grammar of the book and you say the book is meant for the laymen.

 

I find that in this group there are some people who are making an

honest effort to understand some of the concepts and the principles

of the Lal Kitab.

 

Therefore it is a pleasure to be a part of a group which has

participants who are open, honest, have no persumptions and are so

unassuming, have no bloated egos. None of them claims to be a Guru.

Every one is equal.

 

You are one of those and I have great regards for you.

when so far v have not been able to understand even the grammer part

of lk fully. Vedic astrology is so comprehensive and complete in

itself; why do vedic astrologers hanker after it.LK is meant for

themselves.Before knowing Lk;one has to know respected pundit

ji;only then one may understand lk system.
