Sirs,

For moon in the 8th house it is said that: Sasural tare, damad tare,

tarega mama ko bhi

But

mata chauthe 8, 24 mare, cheez bhali na Chandra ho.

Sir my question is that how does the moon get related to sasural,

damad and mama?

My second question is that if the moon is so good that it will help

these three relations as above, but it will harm the mother. Why?

Respectfully,

Rohit

Respected Rohit ji,

Moon placed in the 8th house will have its aspect on the 2nd , the

house of its exaltation . According to the aspect rule of Vedic

system which has been accepted by the Lal Kitab also, when a planet

aspects its house of exaltation the aspect becomes beneficial. Lal

Kitab explains this phenomena through an example of venus in the 6th

[ house of debility ] aspecting the 12th house [ house of exaltation]

In this case although the moon is placed in its neech ghar [ house

of debility ] the aspect on the 2nd house will be beneficial. Where

as the results of those things for which the moon is a karak will

suffer because the moon is in debility.

When the aspect of the moon reaches the 2nd [ house of in-laws ]

the in-laws get benefited. The 25% of the same aspect gets reflected

to the 6th house [ house of maternal uncles ] and from the 6th house

it gets reflected to the 12th house [ house of son-in-law ] . Since

the 6th house is considered as the house of the daughter, the 7th

house from the 6th would represent her husband and hence the 12th

house becomes a karak of the damad [ son-in-law].

The moon placed in the 8th being neech [ debilitated ] in nature

would have an adverse effect on the mother or other karaks of

moon.

Summarizing, the result of the matters concerning the moon as such

will be adverse because it is neech [ in debility ] where as the

aspect of the moon on the 2nd would yield beneficial results for the

houses where its aspect goes because the aspect is considered as

exalted.

With Regards,
