Dear Girish ji, In the 50th year Varsh Phal kundali { a year ahead of his current varsh phal} his ketu is placed in the 10th house. Pandit ji has put a stroke from it and at the end of the stroke he writes 'andhon ko khairat'. The upaya therefore appears to be suggested for Ketu in the 10th

house. For Ketu in the 10th the Lal Kitab says : -- 'pita nauve ghar apana tare, dusve shani par chalta ho' { page 691 } --- The book further says 'shaqqi halat faisala shani par hoga' { page

730} ---'shaqqi halat shani umda to do guna umda lekin shani manda to do guna manda/ nuksaandeh aur be-mauqa safar hoga' { page 1129 } In the case of shri BR Gupta ji it could even mean a transfer which could be ‘nuksaandeh’ and untimely. Therefore let us see whether the shani is manda or umda. Shani along with mars is placed in the 11th house in the Varsh Phal kundali. For this combination the Lal Kitab says : 'brahaspati ab in dono hi grahon { mangal shani} ka phal barbaad karta jayega'{ page 885 }. Therefore it appears that shani will be manda in this Varsh Phal kundali. With manda Shani, ketu could give a harmful and untimely change of place or transfer in shri Gupta jis case. Now coming to the Upaya. Normally the upaya suggested for Ketu in the 10th { specifically for change of place}is: 'Chandra ka upaya bajariye khana 5, aulad ya suraj ko Chandra ke aashiya doodh paani ka arghya suraj ki taraf munh karke girana mubaraq hoga' { page 1129 } Pandit ji neither suggested the conventional upaya for manda ketu nor the

specific upaya for Ketu in 10th, instead he suggested that donation be given to the blind. Feeding the blind or donating them some thing is normally suggested for either a blind horoscope or a half-blind horoscope. But this horoscope is neither blind nor half blind. Then what could be the reason ? The upaya had to be suggested keeping the Saturn in mind because ketu is placed in the house of Saturn. With Saturn in the 11th there were no adverse indications. He looked further for any other possible adverse indications. Then Pandit ji looked at Jupiter + venus + moon combination in the 7th house. This combination results in Saturn + moon { where jup + venus form masnuyee Saturn} and these two together for masnuyee Ketu { neech }. For this combination the book says: 'ankhon ki beemariyan aur andhepan tak ki naubat aa sakti hai' { page 845 } It is from here Pandit ji got the clue for the upaya of 'andhon ko khairat'.
