Guest guest Posted June 5, 2007 Report Share Posted June 5, 2007 bhai ji; pt. ji has given a chart recommending various types of ink and colour of the pen. earlier also i had raised the same issue as pointed out by shri kirpal singh ji. a significant change now a days is that most of the pens are ball pointed thereby involving budh plus the density of the ink is quiet high as compared to fountain pen ink. at the time when pt. ji wrote this chapter the fountain pens too didn't had any mechanism for storing the ink. writing is attributed to chandra. with all these alterations i wonder if the concept did undergo a change plus are the type of pen and ink prescribed universally applicable or do they change with the positioning of planets in an individual's horoscope. i am very confused regarding this and pray to ur goodself, chandra ji, shukla ji dr. kiranjit ji and prabhakar ji to resolve this issue in general interest. kulbir bainsvarun_trvd <varun_trvd wrote: Dear Kulbir bhai,Some time ago I had read a beautiful write up from you on this topic. Normally all queries are answered the same day. Since Kulbir bhai seems to be busy. Therefore I would try to answer your query. Yes, Pandit ji was very particular about the color of the fountain pen he used and the color of the ink. I have been told that he always used a pen of a red body with a golden cap. He always used red ink to write with. If I categorize the color of the fountain pen / ball pen along with the color of the ink in order of preference it would be some thing like this : [ 1 ] pen with a not shining red body with a golden cap using red ink. [ Since the red ink is prohibited for use in various spheres of life, this can not be a real choice any way; except for private use at home} [ 2 ] pen with a not shining red body with a golden cap using blue ink. However, i may not have been clear in my querry but what i wish to know is that in these days pens come in so many designs that at times it may be difficult to get the exact match written by Punditji in his Book. Here and there streaks of other colours can be seen or still pretty common is the steel coloured pen.How much emphasis should be placed on what was written half a century ago.My point diffinately is not a condemnation of a Sidhpurush but to understand further than what could not be elaborated at the time.So my apologies in advance ! Its only a matter for discussion in this esteemed group where the learned can throw light on what people like me may not understand. As you know the astrological facts or parameters do not change with time. What must have been astrologically true fifty years ago would be true even today and will continue to be true even after. Therefore the color of the pen and the ink would be as relevant today as it was fifty years ago. Yes, I agree that it might be difficult to find a fountain pen /ball pen exactly matching the criteria laid down by Pandit ji, but one must be on a look out for such a pen/ball pen. What should be the aim of writing: - it should be honest - it should be just and for justice - it should not hurt any one - it should be above jealousies, back-biting and denigrating any one. - it must respect the values and uphold traditions. - it should be ‘sarv jan sukhaya’, for the benefit of all. - and so on. Now which of the planets could represent all the above qualities? Jupiter and Mars shubh. Mars shubh keeps one away from jealousies. The jupiter inculcates all the other human values listed above. That is why Pandit ji seems to have suggested a pen which has a dull red { mars shubh } body with a golden { Jupiter } cap and uses red ink { mars shubh + moon}. Guest guest Posted June 10, 2007 Report Share Posted June 10, 2007 dear kulbir ji, as u have rightly pointed out that a chart is there in lk and if somebody wants to benfit from qalam and ink, he would have to go according to that chart and take benefit from planets mentioned thereof. As far as i understand with my association of lk,generally the pen should be of one colour i.e. barrel and cap of the same colour and the ink should be blue or black-it is universally good and unlikely to cause ny bad effect. the ink fountain pens were very much in existence and v in our school days used to improve our handwriting by wirting English with fountain pens fitted with G nibs. Pundit ji had a collection of German pens(is it Schaffer's) filled with red ink--but this was usually uased when pundit ji wanted to make use of his "Sidhi' to help somebody. Kulbir ji, got your particulars; i shall intimate if i find something to convey.
