Guest guest
Dear Friends I have heard two conflicting views on how to remedy a malefic saturn in the third house. The first being donation of eye medicine to the blind and the second being remedies through ketu. Can anyone explain the logic of doing a ketu remedy for saturn in the third house? Thanks in advance Kind regards Sorabh
Guest guest
Dear Sorabh ji, In the first place there is no conflict regarding the two upaya you have mentioned. Both of them are valid upaya for Saturn in the 3rd house, but for two different situations. Incidentally it is not donating medicine to the blind, it is donating medicine to those with eye ailments. Blinds may not need it because they might have gone beyond the medicine stage. You should always remember that there is never one single upaya for any planet in any house. The upaya depends on the context the planet is placed in i.e. depending on the placement of the other planets in the horoscope. Therefore take it out of your thinking that Lal Kitab is a system where ‘X’ planet in ‘Y’ house = a ‘Z’ upaya. Saturn in the 3rd house can give malefic results, generally speaking, under these three conditions : [ a ] When the sun is in the 3rd or 5th house. [ b ] When the moon is placed in the 10th house [ c ] When the Saturn is either with its enemies { sun, moon, mars } or afflicted by them. If you notice, from the above, there could be more than half a dozen upaya for Saturn in the 3rd house. It depends on the astrologer and his skill to devise an upaya best suited to the situation. Now coming to your query as to why it has been suggested that the help of Ketu be taken. Well, Saturn starts giving benefic results in the company of Ketu or when ketu helps the Saturn. For Saturn+Ketu the book says ‘ shani ke saath ketu neki ka farishta hoga’. It further says, ‘ uttam mubarik dono ikatthe , lekh shani par chalta ho’. That is the reason why it has been advised that the help of Ketu should be taken in some cases. Guest guest
Dear Varunji I understand when saturn and sun together in a single house, being enemy planets may not yield good results. If ketu is combined with saturn and sun in a single house, can that be considered as ketu assisting saturn beneficially, and thus saturn becoming much more stronger than the sun with telling effect on that house.
