the directions assigned to houses in lk are as follows. DO THEY

Khanna no.1. east (mashrik)

Khanna no.2 north-west (shumali magrib)

Khanna no.3 south (janoob)

Khanna no.4 north east (shumali mashrik)

Khanna no.5 east (mashrik) rather east side boundary wall.

Khanna no.6 north (shumal)

Khanna no.7 south west (janooba magrib)

Khanna no.8 south (janoob)

Khanna no.9 no specific direction, just interiors of house.

Khanna no.10 west (magrib)

Khanna no.11 west (magrib) rather west side boundary wall

Dear Kulbir bhai,

 

In Vedic astrology the houses of the horoscope have the following

system

 

house #1 east

House # 7 west

House # 10 North

house # 4 south

 

There is a slight catch in what I have said. If you place a

horoscope on the ground and align house #1 with east, then the

house#4 will be north and house#10 will be south.

 

The catch is that a horoscope is a map of the sky over our head as

we see it from below, it is like a bowl turned towards us. If you

take the same horoscope and raise it above your head such that the

horoscope is turned towards you { like a bowl } and now align house

# 1 with east, you will find that the house # 10 will be north and

the house # 4 will be south.

 

Once the four cardinal directions are established,the directions of

the inbetween houses are accordingly assigned.
