THESE PROCEDURES ARE SHORT CUT REMEDIAL MEASURES DEVISED TO SUIT THE PRESENT DAY LIFE STYLE WHERE THE INDIVIDUAL DOES NOT HAS THE APPROPRIATE TIME REQUIRED FOR INVOKING SIDDHIS. Over the years the word tone-totke has assumed an unsavory flavor. They have come to be regarded as something from the black magic. Therefore instead of using the term tone-totke we prefer calling them folk remedies. Folk remedies have been a part of the Indian healing system for ages. They are a total sum of collective folk wisdom evolved over centuries. Unfortunately there has been a lot of interpolation of spurious remedies into this revered folk tradition. Therefore we must make an effort to sieve the spurious from the genuine tradition.
