No special mention of sadesati factors. The rest is a good compilation from

books.

Where is the original or originality about Saturn or about sade sati?

[vedic astrology] Saturn - One

Q: It is largely believed that Saturn in the ‘Sade Sati’ movement in 12th

House, Rasi and 2nd House of a birth Star of an individual will always give bad

effects and people should suffer during this period. Is it true and what are

the conditions one will not suffer in this period?

Ans: This is a subject in Astrology mostly discussed and lot of explanations is

given by great exponents in this field. It will take lot of time to elaborate

the answer, and unless a person has sufficient in depth in this, he/she will not

be able to easily understand at one go on details. However, I will attempt to

simplify explanations and select relevant details for easy understanding of all

to gain a glimpse of the subject.

I feel some basics are to be added here.

1. Saturn owns the houses Capricorn (Makara) and Aquarius (Kumba) where Saturn,

and in Gemini (Mithuna) & Libra (Thula), if housed there in birth chart, will be

Benefic. (Sathyacharya’s list of Benefics)

2. Saturn becomes Malefic, when occupies Aeries (Mesha) or Pieces (Meena) in

birth chart.

3 .Saturn acts neutral while occupying Cancer (Kataka), Virgo (Kanya), or

Scorpio.

4. Saturn is friendly to Venus and Mercury; is enemy to Sun, Moon and Mars,

while it could be neutral to Jupiter, (in certain specified conditions) Moon,

Mars, and Mercury.

Some attributes to Saturn: While Saturn rules Capricorn and Aquarius, leads the

day – Saturday, to God Yama. Gemstones: a dark stone like Sapphire, Onyx,

Amethyst, and Lapis Lazuli and Saturn prefers the color of Black.

Professions are researchers, Scientists, real estate agents, or construction

workers. The career may involve working with metal, iron, wool, or leather

products.

Wealth is acquired through roots and fruits, servants, sculpture and woods.

Saturn represents sorrow and associated with sense of ‘touch’.

Saturn is lazy, has eyes of golden color, a thin and tall body, full of arteries

and veins, idle and culminating, governs muscle, cruel and has no pity, dull-

headed, large nails, colored teeth, stiff heir and limbs, dirty and a slow

disposition, fierce and black, dark prison cells, scavenging and butcher shops.

It has to do with longevity, death, fear, misery, sickness, misfortune,

servitude, captivity, and poverty.

It defines the period of a person’s life, livelihood, and cause of death,

adversity and servants. Planet Saturn personifies an oil monger, vile person,

serving others, and a blacksmith.

If Saturn is well placed in the Birth Chart, the natal, will have prudence,

frugality, self – control, loyalty, steadfastness, perseverance,

industriousness, and extreme patience.

If the Planet is ill-placed, there will be laziness, lethargy, delays,

consolidation, and depression.

Illness associated with Saturn is arthritis, or rheumatism, gallstones, growths

(dwarf), weak knees, bones and teeth.

This will make us believe that Saturn is not bad at all when well placed in a

birth chart. In his (Vimshothri) Desha Periods, there are evidences that many

had reached the pinnacle of benefits and success to become one among rich and

famous, while they had their ends of life too! This is true in all three cycles

of Sade Sati of Saturn in a person’s life!

Cyclic effects of movement of Saturn:

The general effect is based on Saturn to be ‘Neutral’ or passive in its birth

chart occupation. However, the intensity of ‘effects to be related to other

factors, to be individually identified as also the relation between the owner

Planets of Stars, with Saturn, both in the birth chart occupational positions as

well as in transit Star zones in the period of contention.

Results: 1st round (within maximum 30 years)

1. In the first Rasi (Janma),- child or grown up suffers with infantile

diseases.

2. Second Rasi: same as above.

3. Third Rasi: will give good results.

4. Fourth Rasi: (Ardhashtama) difficulties will be less. Basing ‘Ashtaka

Varga’ bindu counts, the more it is, they will get bodily comforts. It will be

good time to Parents. Good health. This could happen for 10 years of age.

5. Fifth Rasi : Risk of danger to mother ( her chart has to be referred)

6. Sixth Rasi: Body could become tired during this period, when the Desha of

8th house Lord happened to run Mainor Anthar Desha.

7. 7th Rasi: There will be ill-health and sickness. Unwanted change of place

could occur. The child could be surrounded by inexplicable fear.

8. 8th Rasi: Something will prevail before Saturn moves away from the

position of Moon.

9. 9th Rasi: The native gets fame and recognition in his family, circle and

work place and earning will increase very well and be satisfactory in growth.

10. 10th Rasi: One would gain help from influential and

prosperous person to enhance career while Saturn passes the last potion of this

house in transit.

11. 11th Rasi: Excellent for business or growth with

promotions in work place. Some could have very helpful partners. Women could

find prosperous life partners.

12. 12th House: Usually this period could cause minor

health problems and discomforts in day to day life.

To be continued……. For 2nd round and 3rd round of ‘Sade Sati’

Everybody learns from books, in school, college and so on.  Nobody is born

The problem, is that these so called *books* and NOTES change -- to fit the

conveniences of Jyotishis and their whims!

Hence the question was valid, even if leading to irritation and an impatient

reaction -- one wonders why, though? Jyotish should bring into our lives

confidence and calmness and not rancour and anxiety, no matter how old we are!

BUT,why does SHE fail so visibly and demonstrably and so badly as we see it in

so many fora, time and again ;-)
