Q: How important is ‘Desha Sandhi’and that should be considered in process of matching Horoscopes of a boy and a girl, and what are the properties?

 

Ans:: It is important and it should be a primary consideration for matching charts for marriage. There should not be Desha Sandhi in a male and female horoscope. Desha Sandhi, here, we account the much recognized ‘Vimshothri’ Desha periods, while there are other Desha calculations also practiced by many Astrologers. We are not recognizing for this analysis, as “Vimshotri Desha†periods are in vogue with most Astrologers.

 

Desha Shandhi is the period, when one Desha ends and another Desha starts – takes over. If Desha (not necessarily identical in either horoscope) ends in a male horoscope as well as in a female horoscope in a particular time with a difference of less than six months, it is not advisable to match those horoscopes for a marital life.

 

If a ‘Dosha’ Desha, with even powers to inflict death is running in the Girl’s or Boy’s horoscope in a particular period, it should be well compensated by a very beneficial Desha prevalent or in succession in the other horoscope at that period to promote marital harmony.

 

If the Desha in the boy’s horoscope as well as girl’s horoscope at a particular period are, Desha of Planets who are mutual enemies, and if also there is Desha Sandhi Dosha then these horoscopes should not be matched. On analysis of many charts this is found to be one of the causes for diverse or separation between wedded pairs.
