Transits in Capricorn and moves to Aquarius(Kumbha) on19th December 2009 at 19:45:05 Hrs. Jupiter has a continuous fast motion to Aquarius during transiting Capricorn. That is Jupiter crosses Capricorn in 143 days at the rate of 143/30 = 4 days 18 hours and 28 mts per Degree of movement. This is considered to be a ‘fast’ movement to the average time of movement for this Planet. On 1st May 2009 Jupiter enters Aquarius at 14:10:50 hrs that day. On 15th June 2009 at 08:57:26 hrs (in Danishta -3 Pada) at 03°01’027” Jupiter ‘retrogrades’ and reverse in its path to cross Aquarius on 30th July 2009 at 15:16:26 Hrs into Capricorn in Zodiac division. On 13th October 2009 at 05:31:06 Hrs at 23°10’16’ again Jupiter gains forward motion to move towards Aquarius Most important to be noticed in this is that JUPITER passes through UTHRASHADA 2,3and 4 Pada, SRAVANA all the 4 padas DANISHTA 1,2 Padas, while passing in Capricorn, moves further into Aquarius in DHNISHTA 3 Pada and then Retrogrades towards Capricorn. In Capricorn, Jupiter gains forward motion only on 13th October 2009 to enter Star Zone of SRAVANA again crossing the Star Zone of Dhanishta before entering Aquarius in forward motion for a second time. So Astrological reading for the complete year from 9th December 2008 to 19th December 2009 is very important and to be studied in depth as Jupiter is transiting a Zodiac Zone of Capricorn, where Jupiter is ‘Depleted” (neecha) in Capricorn. The relative planetary movement has to be studied very carefully. With regards to Jupiter, it shall be good to know the effects on the native with JU/Mo combination/aspect, during this one year of transit, especially if the combination of Ju/Mo in 11th house itself..for a Leo lagna? First the planetary position in Birth chart. Another, is the transit effect of Planets. The birth chart and combinations in 'placed' houses of Planets give a 'recipe' of their contributions during the entire life of the person. The other is the combinations of planets at the time of their transitions in Zodiac Zones and Star Zones. Yes. The preliminary inference of strength of a planet is from the Natal chart, to be related when the 'transit' chart is referred to. Apart from this the Vimshotri desa period and other factors are to be studied. Your Jupiter/ Moon is in the 11th house from LEO in the house of Gemini whose lord is Mercury. Now the transition of Moon is to the 8th house from Moon. That house is not a beneficiary for Jupiter to enter, related to Moon position.
