Astrology is a 'process' to arrive at the 'results'. If you say, I know the 'results' then the 'process' is not necessary. The fate is already decided. Why should one is born to parents in a particular place and family? Can one select any one of the 'parents' as they are NOT 'contributed' in any manner for his 'privileges' or 'liking'? Can one call any other woman as 'mother' except the mother to whom he 'believes ' to have born? Can anyone change his brother or sister, as their acts are not accepted? They are all set in the 'pigeon holes' for the one born in this 'crowd'. No one could change this. Astrology 'lights' the 'path' and does not changes it. This gives the insight of events to come before you, and you will be facing it. This is due the metabolism happened at the time of ones birth, (as coming out of mother's womb and exposed to Solar rays for the first time) with the rays from the Sun and the reflected/refracted rays from the other Planets recognized to cause these effects. This we calculate and 'position' them as they were and find the strength of radiation. (This could be compared to application of Gama rays to remove flum from the lungs or X Rays to track the fracture of a bone) We also have nominated functions marked to these to have a cumulative, composed effects to drive the thoughts to reap 'results'. So these are set to a 'path' of events to be caused under related rules. A five year old boy cannot be a surgeon in a hospital. These 'terms' and times of events are also set in the 'rules'. This is a condensed list of details in the science named 'Astrology'. Belief in a religion is 'thrust' into one because of birth. Mother says, pointing a person, as a child's father, you 'believe' her and he will be known as child's father. Similarly all are 'introduced' to be related to that person, when 'belief' creates 'relations'. Similarly a woman is introduced as 'wife' and a relation is developed. and so on. One will marry her irrespective of 'matching' the horoscopes, if it is so destined. Given a choice, it could be any one to take that 'seat'. Then,'faith' is gained by one, as result of trust, practice and introduction weighed with result derived in holding that. All these become interconnected to frame a 'life' around that person. So Astrology charts these to find your 'path'-- 'Ayana' as you will see path of the Sun in Dhakshinayana, Uttarayana, and Rama in Ramayana and so on. Now it is left for an individual to know the result of these in reading Charts under astrological rules. This is like taking a scan or not, under a doctor's advice. Large sections of people around world believe in knowing their 'path' through many 'rules' designed/ derived by the generations in finding this. Again 'faith' in this science plays a great part in doing so. Of course, one is not compeled to go to an Astrologer! Respected Sirs, I am a novice learner of astrology. But sometimes, some confusion creeps in. A renowned astrologer who practices KP astrology once told in a TV show that everything is pre-destined. Even his appearence in the TV show was pre-destined as mentioned by him. Then again, every other astrologer says that one should marry after matching horoscopes. Here lies the confusion. If one's destiny is written and it cannot be changed, then whats the point in matching horoscopes. If it is written that what is going to happen after one's marriage, then there is no point in matching horoscopes because what is destined is going to happen.
