Job Problem - pls help

Dear Gurujis,

 

Need your help and guidance on how to cope up with

situation I am facing in professional life. Just to

give you a background I joined this company on 15th

March 2007( last year) in sales function but the role

got changed in one month as the Brand for which I

joined was shut down by company. In new role from

April to July there was not much and the team and boss

I joined were very slow and reluctant. Things moved

and they gave me a Target to achieve. During July till

March 2008 I worked very hard, travelled a lot but

target was not achieved as my bosses were not willing

and helping to close deals and were not able to take

decisions and also other factors.

 

Now when my appraisals were being done they said you

have not achieved your target and hence my appraisal

is not very good. Its a bad situation for me. For the

last 5 years I have been growing at a fast pace and

now I dont think this year I'll get a good increment

and promotion and my growth wont be there.

 

Now there are 2-3 questions:

 

1. I am not willing to work with current team as I

know here I cant grow. Should I look for a role change

within the company? will I get success?

 

2. Should I look for a job change oustide this

company?

 

3. How do you see my overall career growth and

monetary prospects for next year?

 

Please help me as my responsibilities and commitment

towards family is increasing and I need to grow to

fulfill all that.

 

Please help Gurujis. Its a request !
