AATHREYA - KAIKA aka KAIKEYI - Maathru Prema

Kaika is a much maligned lady. I beleive , she is from Persia

( Kausalya is from Kosala and Is Sumithra from Indonesia? )

Kaika is the youngest , most beautiful and most intelligent of

the three wives of Dasaratha. Kaika is also very adept in war

fare and at one time helped her husband in return of which she

was rewarded with two wishes to be encashed at any time she

desired. Kaika is very broad minded and along with her

Sapathni Kausalya she shared Puthra Kaameshtti Paayasam

with her Sapathni Sumithra. She loved Raama much more she

loved her own son Bharatha. In fact Raama and Bharatha are

look alikes . Kaika's love to Raama knows no bounds , till such

time her mind is turned against her love to Raama by her maid

Mandhara who accompanied Kaika to Ayodhya ( I'm reminded

of Shakuni who accompanied Gaandhaari to wreak vengence

against Kauravas for his entire family members were killed by

and kingdom was destroyed by Bheeshma ).

Kaika was abused by her own son and by one and all but please

remember but for Kaika , Raama would not have had the chance

to kill Paulasthya RaavaNa Brahma.

It is only excessive Maathru Prema of Kaika towards her own son

Bharatha and misguidance by Mandhara that made Kaika do

what she did in asking for exile of Raama and Kingship to her son

Bharatha, though she acheived the first but not the second and

only good came out of Raama's exile , proving allround greatness

of every one including Bharatha , LakshmaNa , Raama and Seetha.

Please beware of the company one keeps by which one is known.
