Time to bid Them Good Bye , Bon Voyage , Buenos Dios . Au Revoir . Subha Yaathra . Punaraagamanamasthu. Veedukolu in Telugu Language. ThathaAsthu. Om Saanthi. Pithrus return back to Their respective Lokams whence They came and stayed with us for fourteen days wef September 27. One learned colleague asked how to know from which of 14 Lokams The Pithrus came to Bless us - a very good question. The colleague went a step further and thought that the idea of whence they came is cooked up . In fact IT has been cooked up in The Cauldron of Primordial Soup long long ago and Chathurdasa (14 ) Worlds Evolved. Pithrus could have come from any of The Fourteen Worlds - PaathaaLam , Rasaathalam , Mahaathalam , Thalaathalam , Suthalam , Vithalam , Athalam, Bhoolokam , Bhuvarlokam, Suvarlokam , Maharlokam , Janolokam, Thapolokam and Sathyalokam , in addition to Yama Dharma Raaja Naraka Lokam , Naaga Lokam , VaruNa Lokam and Swarga Lokam. Pithrus who are already in Vaikhunttam and Kailaasam are Part of Paramaathma and are definitely out of the picture and so are Pithrus who are enjoying the company of Pithaamaha Brahma in Sathyalokam. Pithrus in Thapolokam may not be that anxious to visit Their descendents as They have set Their sights to a Higher Plane on Their way to Moksha Praapthi. So that leaves Pithrus from Janolokam etc are Those who are visiting Their Progeny to Bless Their descendents. In which Lokam Pithrus were depends upon what they have done during Their sojourn on Earth and upon Their Past , which is beyond our comprehension , certainly mine. One thing is certain - from whatever Lokam They might have come it is we that send Them back satisfied , properly propiated back not to where They came from but to a Lokam certainly Higher - may be Sathya Lokam , may be Vaikhunttam , may be Kailaasam , or even may be Devi Sannidhaanam. We all have done our duty as dutiful descendents and helped Our Pithrus to achieve ParinirvaaNa , Absolute Moksham . May Their Souls Rest In Peace For All Times To Come. Om Saanthi - Aadhyaatmika , Aaadhibhouthika , Aadhidaivika. Sathyam Eva Jayathe, Na Anrutham=Truth Only Prevails. Rutham Vachmi , Sathyam Vachmi - Avathu Maam..Saanthi. Maam Rutham Vadishyaami - Maam Sathyam Vadishyaami . Truth , Whole Truth , Nothing But Truth. So Be It. Guest guest
Dear Dr. Balakrishnamurthyji, Namaskaram. Om Namah Shivayaa; Om Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevayaa! I have a question and will be grateful if you could respond. If Pithru's have to keep visiting us regularly, do we assume that they have ESCAPED the cycle of birth-and-death and have achieved moksha? Else, isn't it a contradiction in terms that most souls are assumed re-born after detaching themselves from an earlier incarnation [i.e. death]? If so, how is it that our PITHRUs continue to visit us, and their successors offer Tharpanams during their lifetimes? Any thoughts on this, Sir? OM NAMAH SHIVAYAA! OM NAMO BHAGAVATHE VASUDEVAYAA!!! Guest guest
dear sir, it is told by purohits who perform the ceremony that for three generations of pitrus we perform the tharpanam ie ( father, grandfather and greatgrandfather.) the greatgrandfather's soul gets released the day a son performs the tharpana for his father after the demise of the father. good wishes, k.gopu ______________________________\ ____ Shape in your own image. Guest guest
1.Some Pithrus might have attained Moksham .; 2.Some Pithrus might have born elsewhere ; 3.Some Pithrus might still waiting either to be reborn or waiting to attain Moksham. As we can not know what is happening to Them , we assume Those Pithrus (3.)who have niether attained Moksham nor reborn elsewhere will be visiting Their descendents during Mahaalaya Paksha and hence the least we can do for Them is to offer TharpaNam , Naivedyam . Om Shaanthi. aathreya - bala krishna murthy ramaraju
Guest guest
Vasu Roopam Aadithya Roopam Rudra Roopam we have to offer tharpanam to three generations of Ancestors. The idea by this time great great great grand parents might have either attained Mokshm or reborn elsewhere and we are under no further obligation beyond three generations. More realistic few people remember the names of fore fathers beyond third generation. I am lucky I am able to trace seven generations and am passing it on to my children. aathreya - bala krishnamurthy ramaraju
