Dear Rangarajan and other astrologers,

I have attempted on post mortem of the Muhurtha chart of the First one day international cricket match of the recently concluded series between India and Pakistan. For simplifying analysis, I opted for tabulation of house cusp and sub-lord details of Upachaya houses for both the teams. Placement of Ascendant at the time of start of match is taken as First house for home team and where as Descendant is taken as First house for the visiting team.

The match was played in Cochi, Kerala on April 02, 2005. The start of the match has been taken as 09.00 HRS, IST.

I have followed KP principles and table is as per the guidelines provided by Mr/Ms(?) Neville.

I have not touched the sub-sub levels of the cusps. Also sub-lords of the house cusp sub-lords/star lords have been not looked into. In the same breathe I want to express that, I am do aware of the Astrology strength and weakness and not to talk about my limitations in deciphering the results by applying more appropriate tools at right instant. What ever the system of Astrology may be, unless one is capable of magnifying and inferring results out of very subtle indications, it would be always easy to talk about theories but very difficult to achieve very high rate of successful predictions. But then, I am of the firm opinion that, these so called rationale thinking should not be a reason for attitude of not putting best efforts in discovering hidden premiums. An appetite for looking beyond what is visible often leads for ridicules and mockery. But had those great scientists limited themselves on account of this, just imagine how we would have been deprived of many a sweet and comfortable things in today's life! The worry of meeting a failure should not be reason behind the non attempt.

On plane observation of enclosed table and chart, it emerges that, at least for the first match, cusp of 6th and 11th played vital role in final results. For home team 6th cusp sub-lord Saturn was signifying 11th house among other houses. It was receiving aspect from Moon and Jupiter who were lords of 3rd and 11th respectively. Star lord of the 6th cusp was exalted. These were just positive aspect of the 6th cusp and there were negatives as well.

Where as for visiting team, 6th house cusp was not having more positive points than the home team. Glaring weak points were, debilitation of 6th cusp star lord and sub-lord not signifying 11th house to any extent. Star lord was under retrograde movement.

Moving on to 11th cusps, again home team cusp out scored visiting team as Star and Sub lords of the 11th cusps were signifying 11th house. Hence time was favouring home team to come as winning team.

I request all to feed their comments and suggest how the standard table can be improved and refined so that, for further this can be made as table for reference and only one need to fill details of cusp and other planets. It would be great if any software professionals help with auto work sheets. So that experimenting for further would be easy and more enjoying.

With regards,

Mohan Hegde.
