Guest guest
Dietmar, Thanks for the Pope's data. This is an excellent chart. Its main features are a powerfully placed stellium of Jupiter, Mercury and Uranus in square to well positioned Mars Rahu and Ketu. Jupiter Ketu, and Jupiter Rahu form strong mundane squares, and these are very powerful by dispositors, and Star and sub lordships. Jupiter in Gauquelin's position of high intensity on the Ascendant, is in the position of the exceptional politician (and actor). Jupiter is Joint Lord of the 1st and Lord of the 10th showing excellent career prospects. Jupiter is in its own star and Sub of Venus. These are respectively in the 1st and 2nd houses of success. The 10th holds Ketu the spiritual planet showing vocation. Ketu is in its own Star in the Sub of Jupiter showing success in this area. Rahu is enormously powerful. It is in its own Star and Sub and closely conjunct Mars also in the Star and Sub of Rahu. The Principle of Mars Rahu is 'collaboration and co-operation' and the Sociological Correspondence is 'Associations of people working together to a common end or purpose' - Ebertin. This seems to have been where the Pope has excelled in his calling. It is interesting to note that he seems to have been a popular choice in the election (because of the quick result). Mars, Rahu and Ketu closely aspect Mercury conjunct Uranus. Also Mars and Rahu are in Mercury's sign of Gemini. These could possible have given him his gift for the ten languages he speaks. Note too that Sun is exalted in the sign of Mars Lord of the 2nd house of speech. It appears to me that there is more emphasis on the political than the spiritual, which is ideal for the leader of such a large corporate empire. This is also a lucky chart. The Asc Star Lord is Jupiter, and the Sub Ketu which is in the sign of Jupiter, in its own Star and Sub of Jupiter. The 11th Cusp Star Lord is Venus well placed in its own sign in the 2nd house, and the Sub again is the powerful Jupiter. According to Bhatt in the case of competition, if the cuspal Sub Lord of the 11th (success) and that of the 6th (defeat of the rival) occupy houses 1,2,3,6,10, or 11 and be in the Star of the occupant of the house then the native will win. Here we see 11th Cuspal Sub Lord Jupiter in the first house, and in its own Star. Also Jupiter is the Cuspal Sub Lord of the 6th - so ensuring he won the Papacy. LAST SOLAR ECLIPSE In the last SE on 8th April 2005 the SE point , Venus (which was at its highest point of exaltation), and Rahu came conjunct natal Sun. This is almost the same as when he was surprisingly and quickly elevated to Cardinal in 1977. Sun is in the sign of Mars powerfully positioned and proxied by powerful Rahu. Sun is also in the Star of Ketu occupant of 10th house (the only house signified by Ketu) , and in the Sub of Venus in its own sign well placed in the 2nd house. Natal Sun is extremely powerful by being disposed by Rahu (being proxie for Mars). SE Saturn closely aspects by trine powerful natal Jupiter and natal Ascendant. SE Saturn is in the Star of Jupiter and Sub of Ketu (which is exactly the same as natal Ascendant) and directly points to the 10th house whose Significators are Sun, Jupiter and Ketu. Saturn is Lord of the natal chart and shows the career emphasis, prestige, and elevation for the native. SE MC (parallax Moon) exactly opposes natal Jupiter which enhances Jupiter's role in the coming months. In the natal chart, Moon closely aspects natal Pluto. Psychological Correspondence 'A very great and deep expression of feeling but confined to special channels of expression only or oriented in a one sided manner.' - Ebertin. In the SE Jupiter comes conjunct natal Moon. (Moon was also aspected by Jupiter in the SE prior to elevation to Cardinal). Incidentally this emotional Moon Jupiter aspect is unlikely to run foul of his peers in the Church because of his strong Mars Rahu conjunction (co-operation) but may well cause high emotions with outsiders who don't like his policies. SE Pluto comes close conjunction natal MC. Probable Manifestations 'The attainment of recognition and power. The inclination to look upon one's vocation or calling as a mission as well. Inner change and transformation, a readjustment of one's circumstances in life. The attainment of greater independence than enjoyed hitherto'. - Ebertin. SE Pluto aspects by trine natal Sun. Principle 'The striving for Power, the craving for rulership, the power of attainment'. Probable Manifestations 'Sudden advancement in life, the ability to establish and consolidate one's own position as a leader' - Ebertin. TRANSITS The prime transit showing the election was the ongoing transit of Saturn as it moved from natal Ascendant to exact trine aspect to natal Jupiter. Transit Sun and Moon are in the Star of Ketu significator of the 10th house again emphasising career. Guest guest
Dear Ron Gaunt, You have provided a very good analysis of Pope's chart. I would add following. Jup sharp at 1st cusp, Pluto sharp at 5th cusp and Saturn at sharp 9th cusp are highlights of the chart. Sat at 9th cusp[religios cusp] had given him teaching assignments. [theology/philosphy/religion] Scorpio sign give deep convictions. Sat bhukti raise him to Pope's assignment. Mercury also in Sat star giving him late results of 9th house. Sat in Scorpio and Ketu /Rahu so closely influeced by 4th house Mars are in fact have some negative features also. This gives him martial charcterstics[including some army service perhaps and confinement etc]. He may be ruthless against apponents. Will not be favourably disposed towards woman (issues) and will have some disturbed state of mind over these issues. This is because 10th House Ketu dasa would be starting soon. Jupitarian Ketu gives high religious post, journeys, and higher works (renovations etc). But Ketu is closely aspected by Mars, will give Mars results also.Mars being lord of 2nd gainful to him but dis-favorable to many others . , " rongaunt@b... au " <rongaunt@b...> wrote: > > Dietmar, > > Thanks for the Pope's data. > > This is an excellent chart.
