time of the bowler's run-up just as the match begins, to test this

idea under the KP system.

 

I suspect the time you have given is the official starting time.

Often there can be delays for various reasons, and so that is why I

suggested if someone on this list can post the exact time of the

start of the match from when the bowler first begins his run-up on

the first ball.

 

Unfortunately for me, our TV sources are not broadacsting this event

live so I have no way of getting the exact time and so need to rely

on others.

 

Once we have that time, we can then look at that chart using the KP

rules of judgement.

 

A few others on this list have been good enough to put forward their

views using a number between 1 and 249 under KP Horary. I thought we

could try this approach to see what results it can give. My sources

of this approach using other systems of astrology claim a good

success rate using their astrolgoy system so that is why I put the

idea forward to test if it might also work using KP rules of

judgement.

Congratulations to Mr. L. Y. Rao and to Ajay Pandav for also getting

the correct result even though we all used different methods.

 

This is my first attempt at selecting the outcome of a cricket

match. So, it is 1 out of 1 but, in my opinion, this is still very

early days as far as this method is concerned.

 

A few days ago, I put forward a concept that I had remembered from

the past in another system of astrology, which has been around for a

long time. The concept was that the outcome of a competition can be

known from the chart of the exact moment of the start of the event.

I also indicated that I have never used this idea before since I

have never before put forward a prediction of a sporting contest.

 

I have only been studying the KP system for a few months now, so I

am still relatively new to it but this current cricket match has

allowed me to apply some of the things that I have learned. All I

have done here has been to use the chart for the start of this

cricket match and applied KP analysis. I must confess that I have

been studying many systems of astrology over 35 years, so I am not

new to astrology but new to the KP system.

 

While getting a correct answer at my first attempt seems pleasing,

the reality with any research in astrology is that one needs a

concept or method to work consistently over thousands of attempts

and over a long period of time. I would not be happy with any the

new concept or method until it worked consistently over time. To

this end, I will continue along these lines on this forum for future

sporting contests, at least those where I have a starting time of

the event, and let's see how using the chart of the start of a

contest works over the long term.

 

It will also be interesting to watch how other methods for contest

selection work out over time too.

I appreciate your approach and the point raised by you. I once again want to repeat here that the probability of success and failure is nearly 50/50 in cricket match so single successful prediction can not prove any system. As you had mentioned, we will have to move along with the future timeline and keep using different systems to come-up with correct method. It is an excellent start and hopefully we will see better developed method for match predictions.

So, it is 1 out of 1 but, in my opinion, this is still very early days as far as this method is concerned.

A few days ago, I put forward a concept that I had remembered from the past in another system of astrology, which has been around for a long time. The concept was that the outcome of a competition can be

known from the chart of the exact moment of the start of the event. I also indicated that I have never used this idea before since I have never before put forward a prediction of a sporting contest.I have only been studying the KP system for a few months now, so I am still relatively new to it but this current cricket match has allowed me to apply some of the things that I have learned. All I have done here has been to use the chart for the start of this cricket match and applied KP analysis. I must confess that I have been studying many systems of astrology over 35 years, so I am not new to astrology but new to the KP system.While getting a correct answer at my first attempt seems pleasing, the reality with any research in astrology is that one needs a concept or method to work consistently over thousands of attempts and over a long period of time. I would not be happy with any the new concept or method until it worked consistently over time. To this end, I will continue along these lines on this forum for future sporting contests, at least those where I have a starting time of the event, and let's see how using the chart of the start of a contest works over the long term. It will also be interesting to watch how other methods for contest selection work out over time too.Regards,Neville

You originally suggested that the start of the match would be

9:30am, and so you submitted a chart for that moment. I originally

worked on a chart for 9:30am, based on your suggestion, and posted

my prediction as a result of that time.

 

However, on another post, you indicated that the match had actually

started at 9:00am instead of 9:30am, so I worked out another chart

for 9:00am and then posted my updated prediction, and mentioned that

I still favoured Pakistan even using the 9:00am chart. I hope this

now clears up this confusion.

 

It is always helpful to get the exact start of a contest, down to

the minute and second, if possible. For cricket, I would say that

the start of a cricket match begins at the moment the first bowler

begins his run-up.

 

As for my analysis of the 9:00am chart, leading me to my conclusion,

I am happy to share my thinking with you.

 

First of all, the chart details:

15 Apr 2005, 9:00am, Kanpur, India 26N28 80E21

TZ = 5:30, DST = 0, Asc. = 25:27:52 Taurus

Ayanamsa = -23:50:25.6 (New Krishnamurti)

(as per my Pocket PC program)

 

I looked at the Sign, Star and Sub of 1, 6, 11 house cusps

representing India, the home team, and houses 7, 12, 5 house cusps

as representing Pakistan, the visiting team. Houses 7, 12, 5 are

equivalent to 1, 6, 11 as counted from the 7th house cusp. I also

took into account the 10th house cusp (4th for Pakistan).

 

For many charts that I have seen, the Sub of one house cusp is often

the same for the opposite house cusp, though not every time. For the

9:00am chart, it just so happens that all house cusps used have the

same Sub in the house cusp opposite. So, in this context, I bypassed

the check to see if the Subs were a significator of 6 or 8. I also

bypassed the check to see if any Sub was a planet that was

retrograde, since that test would have equally applied to both

teams, because the Sub was the same for each cusp.

 

My first step was to look and see how many houses the Sub is away

from the Star of the house cusp, since this is a KP principle. For

example, the first house cusp has Mars Star and Rahu Sub - Rahu is 3

houses away from Mars. Another is 11th house cusp where Rahu Sub is

10 houses away from Saturn. The result of going through this process

was that out of the 4 house cusps I looked at for each team (1, 6,

11, and 10), only the 10th house from Asc. (India team) has Saturn

Sub 4 houses from Rahu - so that was a negative. This is based on

the principle that houses 1,2,3,6,10,11 yield positive results and

4,5,7,8,9,12 yield negative results.

 

I then looked at what planets were retrograde on the day – only

Jupiter was retrograde. I then looked at what Stars had Jupiter for

the cusps mentioned earlier, and Jupiter appeared as the Star of the

6th cusp (for India) whereas no Star was in Jupiter for Pakistan. I

regarded this a negative. I also looked whether Jupiter was the

ruler of any sign for the cusps above. Jupiter was the ruler of the

11th cusp for the India team and I regarded this as a negative. That

was now three negatives to the India team.

 

I then had a look at planet strength by looking to see if any planet

was in their exalted sign or in their debilitated sign. On that day

both Sun and Mars were in their exalted sign and Mercury was in its

debilitated sign. Looking at the house cusp sign rulers and Stars, I

noticed that the India team did not have either Sun or Mars on any

house cusp used above but the Pakistan team had Mars on the 7 and 12

(equivalent to 1 and 6) and the Sun was on 4 (equivalent to 10). I

also noted that Mars was the Star lord of India's 1st house cusp.

Since Pakistan team had 3 to India's 1, I judged that the Pakistan

team had more strength.

 

It was these steps that led me to conclude that Pakistan would win

this match.

I must apologize - there was one more point that I failed to

mention, though it was mentioned in my original post for the

prediction.

 

The point missed in my analysis was that I also checked the number

of times the RPs of the day matched with the Sign and Star lords for

the house cusps used (1,6,11,10 India and 7,12,5,4 Pakistan). I left

off the Sub of the house cusps due to the fact that in that chart,

the house cusp Subs were the same for the opposite cusps used.

 

The RPs for the date and time of 9:00am were Venus, Mercury, Mars

and Rahu. I gave more weight to Mars and Rahu since they were the

Star lords, over the Sign lords and Day lord.

 

On this count, the Pakistan house cusp Sign lords and Stars had both

more in number and had more Mars and Rahu connections.
