Guest guest
I know that Rahu and Ketu are significators of the same house as their dispositor. But can someone please let me know whether they are also the significators of OTHER houses where that dispositor is also a significator. Example Rahu is in Pisces and would be a significator of houses where Jupiter is Lord. However in this case say Jupiter is a significator in the sign where Moon is Lord ie Cancer, would Rahu also be considered as significator for this house? Thanks Ron Gaunt
Guest guest
Dear Ron, I think you've already checked the same explanation about signification of Rahu's depositor in KP Reader III, 1984, Part 2, p 124, Rahu & Ketu, and Nakshatra Chuntamani, pp 18-19 that Rahu denotes the matters of the house or houses owned by depositor and the house occupied by depositor, only when Rahu is neither conjoined with, nor aspected by any planet. This condition (Uthrakalamrita) is strictly applied by K. Sbramanium, i.e. not to take the depositor if conjioning or aspecting planets are already taken. Best regards, tw planet or planets or Kumba lagna about , rongaunt <rongaunt@b...> wrote: > > I know that Rahu and Ketu are significators of the same house as > their dispositor. Guest guest
Dear tw, Thanks for your reply. Actually it was reading Nakshatra Chintamani that prompted the question. On page 15 Table B only includes Rahu for houses of ownership and tenancy of dispositor, whereas pages 18 and 19 shows Rahu being a significator for all the other conditions. ie Rahu being aspected by Mars which owns 4, 11 & 7 so Rahu is said to indicate these houses. But Table B does not show Rahu as significator for 4 and 11. There are other similar omissions. My KP 3rd reader is obviously a later version than yours as it is a single book - not in 2 parts. It is the nineth edition Jan 2004. Could you let me know what you are referring to from the Contents List at the front of the book; so I can check your reference. Guest guest
Dear Ron, 1 I see the explanation is not easy to follow. The best way is to start from p 18. Rahu indicates: 1)as agent of conjoined Moon, 7 owned by Moon and 2 occupied by Moon; 2) as agent of aspecting Mars, 4,11 owned by Mars and 7 occupied by Mars; 3)as agent of aspecting Jupiter , 3,12 owned by Jupiter and 10 occupied by Jupiter; 4) Rahu is in star Mercury, owner of 6,9 and occupant of 7, and Rahu occupies 2; (This signification is the usually shown in computer print-out, i.e. in order of rank A-7; B-2; C-6,9: D--); 5) Rahu's depositor Jupiter, ruler of 3,12 and occupant of 10. 2. Pl note, in p 19, " Rahu-Ketu as planet " , it's written as if 4th step signifiaction of 7,6,9 houses is not taken because Rahu is in conj and aspect with Moon, Mars and Jupiter. It should also be taken even houses indicated by conj or aspt planets are already taken. In fact it's taken in Tab C, p15. Another important point is, as mentioned before, not to take houses indicated by depositor since we've taken houses indicated by conj and aspt Moon, Mars & Jupiter (which is also depositor, even if another planet other than Jupiter not to take it as per K Subramanium quoting Uthrakalamrita, p 315, KP Reader II, 1983). In Reader III, Rahu & Ketu are the last portion under the heading of " Behaviour of planets " before " How to judge whether a planet is a benefic or a malefic " . In Reader II, pl read pp 315-316, 320-323. Best regards, tw P.S. here time to sleep after midnight. , rongaunt <rongaunt@b...> wrote: > Dear tw, > > Thanks for your reply. > > Actually it was reading Nakshatra Chintamani that prompted the > question. Guest guest
Dear Rongaunt The rules for Rahu/Ketu are clear cut. They ACT as agents of 1. the planet withwhich they are conjoined 2. Thier Star Lord 3. Planets which Aspect Them 4. The Lord of the Sign in which they reside This in order of importance. Naturally if Rahu is agent of Jupiter, he will signify whatever Jupiter signifies. --- rongaunt <rongaunt wrote: > > > I know that Rahu and Ketu are significators of the same house as > their dispositor. Guest guest
-Dear friends, When we talk about Rahu/Ketu being representing planets they are conjoined with, can some one clarify .Should Rahu/Ketu and the planet have the same star-lord,same cusp. Sometimes a cusp separates planets though they may be in the same rashi.Viewed in general what is the maximum longitudinal separation.Source references appreciated Regards, Satish -- In , anant raichur <anant_1608> wrote: > Dear Rongaunt > > The rules for Rahu/Ketu are clear cut. Guest guest
Dear KP, Thanks for your explanation. What I am really getting at is that in Horoscope 1 in Nashtra Chintamani is that Rahu is in Pisces - hence Rahu proxies for Jupiter. If you go to Table B on page 15, Jupiter is shown as significator of houses 1 and 10. But Rahu is NOT shown as a significator for these houses. My understanding has always been that as proxie Rahu will always be shown with its dispositor Lord - in this case Jupiter and therefore should be shown as significator for houses 1 and 10. This is also confirmed by Anant in earlier reply. I was simply wondering whether there was a subtlety that I had missed. ie: could it be that in this case as Jupiter is closely conjunct Moon, and as this is the primary Rahu relationship then Rahu is not considered other than in its role as Lord and occupant of a house? What I am asking is why is Rahu not shown as significator along with it dispositor in houses 1 & 10? Guest guest
Dear Rongaunt, I think what so ever Jupiter signfies or likely to give will be signfied by Rahu in this case. So planets in the stars of rahu will give Jupiter's results, and Moon's result if Moon is also associated with Jupiter. Guest guest
Dear Ron Gaunt Rahu will act as agent in all cases. In fact I made aspecial sw in which the significators were shown in this way. It is not yet certain that Rahu will not act as agent for Lord of House where he is situated, if He is consjunct with a Planet and acts as its Agent. This will need special research, to determine wether acts as agent for one planet only or more than one, as per the conditions specified --- rongaunt <rongaunt wrote: > > Dear Anant, > > Yes that was my understanding. Guest guest
Dear raichjurji and learned members I would like to discuss a recent horary chart related to love and marriage to explain the doubts on rahu and kethu. Experts and learned K.P members kindly advise me wherever it is required and give me your reply to me. Rahu in 11 in Aries conjoined with moon lord of 3 & 4 Rahu being in Aries represents mars position as mars in 8 and lord of 7 and 12. Rahu represents 8,12,7,11,3 and 4 and rahu in star of kethu which is in 5 and kethu represents venus being in sign of venus.5,6 and 12 and venus in 9 rahu though says 5,11,3 and 4 in the sub of venus which decides the strength, value and destination of rahu.Am I right?. So rahu in the sub of venus......occupying 9 and venus is lord of 1 and 6. venus is in star of moon in 11 conj with rahu.So the predominant result is with moon for rahu.Rahu and kethu as a node dont have any fixed signs or plans. other five planets will make to them to do or lose to them as per karma. Thats why rahu and kethu are called karmic planets.controller of karma. Rahu conj with moon and in the sub of a planet which is in star of moon. of course moon and rahu in 11th and moon sub lord of 11. So Rahu's full stregnth and way is with moon and rahu will do the instructions of moon in the decided period.....DASA,BHUKTHI AND ANTHRA. Am I right,Raichurji?.Kindly give your reply on this. If Jup is in star of Venus in 12th, then in Rahu period you can expect reslts of 11th Jup +houses owned by Jup.You can not get result of Venus in 12th. This is very certain. Sh Raichur may kindly consider. Inder , anant raichur <anant_1608> wrote: > Dear Raman > > Rahu acts as Agent for Jupiter. Guest guest
Dear Members, Quite a few of confusions arise,in my humble opinion, because many K.P. students having imbibed Traditional Astrology, over many years of studying Astrology, cannot, and sometimes,I suspect, find it difficult to,or,are not willing to, whole-heartedly to K.P., principles...and constantly continue "picking holes in K.P. Astrology",and I'm sorry to say, without properly understanding both systems,I daresay...mostly due to their inappropriate application...I submit,in a few cases, and then generalise it and say... "this rule does not work ..." ! ? This is grossly unfair to K.P., as well as Traditional Systems,I submit... "Years of experience",in my humble opinion, does have its weightage, but that alone cannot be used to justify the inappropriate application,of Principles,be it of the Traditional or the K.P.,system...and then blaming the "rules"...or even the system... With regards, Yours sincerely, lyrastro1 GOOD LUCK ! Guest guest
I endorse the statements of Yogesh Rao. Let us apply the KP rules, or principles in sincerity. If we find that in a particular case the rule, seemingly, does not appear, then let us analyse the case ans find out why it does not apply to that particular case. Objective investigation is neccessary. Only when we have significant cases where the rule does not apply, should we think of formulating an exception to rule, instead of 'decrying' the rule good luck --- Yogesh Rao Lajmi <lyrastro1 wrote: > Dear Members, > Quite a few of confusions arise,in my humble > opinion, because many K.P. students having imbibed Traditional Astrology, over > many years of studying Astrology, cannot, and sometimes,I suspect, find it > difficult to,or,are not willing to, whole-heartedly to K.P., > principles...and constantly continue " picking holes in K.P. Guest guest
Dear Lajmi ji, Please accept my sincere appology for using inappropraiet words. However the application of the result of sublord for Rahu and Kethu as starlord can not be found in any example in KP Readers. Guest guest
Dear Rao, As far I am concerned, I have not learnt traditional astrology atall. Everything I learnt is from KP Readers and my experience mostly on Internet reading many many charts. The poimts which I am saying about Rahu/Ketu significators are not being understood. In Kp lenghty explainations makes things difficult to comprehend many times. Best wishes for HOLI.
