Guest guest
Dear Mr. Rangarajan Many Many thanks for uploading the DOC file, i have downloaded it, read it, it's really really FANTASTIC !!!!!! I have also checked it by applying to around 25 horoscopes right now, it's accuracy is around 95% or more. CONGRATES to Mr. C.Kadirvelu for his great work. Many Astrologers are not aware of this Gender rule. I will study it further & if i find anything to add to it, i will definitely get back to you. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Rangarajan, The " CKV Rule " seems very interesting. But I have only two little confusions :- 1. What happens when the value of N=0. (Unable to rectify? Or your Software treats '0' as even no.?) 2. Suppose a special case when CSL is Moon and is in Capricorn at 1 degree; Saturn is in Capricorn at 11 degree and Rahu is in Saggitarius at 29 degree. In that case (according to 4'th point) what will be the value of 'M'? 0 or 1 or 2? If 1 then why? Please answer my questions. Regards Sourav. --- Rangarajan Krishnamoorthy <ranga wrote: Dear Members, My good friend Mr.Kadirvelu of Chennai recently proposed a new gender rectification rule. Guest guest
Dear Sourav, 1) When 'N' is zero, it is treated as 'even'. 2) CSL Moon in Capricorn, so G = Female; Sat is sign lord of Capricorn, so L = 1; Sat in same sign as Moon, M = 1 (only Saturn is in the same sign as Moon) Since no other information is given, assuming only these are applicable, N = K + L + M = 0 + 1 + 1 = 2; Since N is even, G is the guessed gender. That is Female. Hope this helps. Regards, Rangarajan , Sourav Guchhait <sourav6282> wrote: > Dear Mr. Rangarajan, > > The " CKV Rule " seems very interesting. Guest guest
Dear Rangarajan Thank you for your posting of the CKV method of Gender determination We cannot take 7th for wife, as it taken for 2nd issue. So also we cannot take 9th for the 3rd issue as it already represents the Father. The method looks temptingly easy and worthy of trail by all, and adoption if all are satisfied. good luck --- Rangarajan Krishnamoorthy <ranga wrote: > > > Dear Abhay, > I have uploaded the DOC file to our site as per your request. Guest guest
Dear Abhay, Thanks for reading thru the doc. I am also glad that in your case it comes to 95% accuracy. It would be nice if the following procedure can be adopted to verify the rule. 1) First we need time-rectified horoscopes to serve as reference. This rectification could have been accomplished through any of the other means available, e.g., ASC-MOON connection, RP, etc. The key point is that we should be convinced about the correctness of birth time of these reference horoscopes. 2) On each of these reference horoscopes, apply the CKV Rule. First apply the basic three cusps (Asc, 4 and 9). If additional cusp genders are available, include them as well. Remember, 7th should be 2nd child, 9th must be father, not 3rd child. If the guessed genders match the reference chart gender, then the rule succeeds. 3) (THIS STEP IS DEBATABLE:) If the CKV rule fails on the reference chart, try to adjust the birth time by not more than a few seconds such that the guessed gender matches the chart gender. Since you have changed the chart time, you need to once again verify that the events predicated in the original chart remain valid. Otherwise, CKV rule fails on this chart. I am sure many senior astrologer friends in this group will have with them verified reference charts. Their help in validating the CKV rule is very important. If you find that the CKV rule fails in some case, pls forward me the birth details and I will pass these on to Mr.Kadirvelu for study. Guest guest
Dear Rangarajan I suggest that the CKV rule should be tested ffor the 1st child only -5th house Having got this, Cast the chart of this child, and apply the CVK rule to the 3rd house, the next Sibling, instead of applying to 7th. Similarly to this 2nd child chart apply ckv ruloe to 3rd and 11th. you can verify the gender of both elder and the next younger. With this it may overcome the anamoloies of 7,9 being normally used for 2nd and 3rd child This is only a suggestion. This rule should be tested for 5th house only, and if results are consistantly correct, we can apply to 2nd and 3rd issue, by using the method I have outlined above good luck --- Rangarajan Krishnamoorthy <ranga wrote: > > > Dear Abhay, > Thanks for reading thru the doc. Guest guest
Dear Rangarajan, I was very enthused with you CKV rule for gender dtermination. On perusing your document, I have a small doubt. In the worked example w.r.t. Father, you have taken righly the 9th cusp. However in calculating " M " you have indicated M=1,however I felt since Saturn and Rahu are together ,M should be 2.Is there an exception if either Saturn or Rahu or Ketu is the Sublord and Ketu/Sat or Rahu/Sat combination exists only m=1 should be considered Please clarify. Thanks, Satish , " Rangarajan Krishnamoorthy " <ranga@m...> wrote: > > Dear Sir, > Thanks for your observations. > > Regards, > Rangarajan > > , anant raichur <anant_1608> > wrote: > > Dear Rangarajan > > > > Thank you for your posting of the CKV method of Gender > determination > > > > We cannot take 7th for wife, as it taken for 2nd issue. Guest guest
Dear Satish, In the given example, 9th CSL is Saturn. We do not include the CSL in our calculations. So, apart from the CSL, Rahu is the only planet in the same sign as the CSL. Hence M = 1. Hope this clarifies your point. Guest guest
Dear Rangarajan I tested one of my friends chart, whose BT was approximate. The 1st attempt satisfied the Somehow connected Rule. As I had noted previously also, there were two other planets which also satisfied the Some-How Connected Rule I then tried the CKV rule. The test failed in all 3 cases,Self,Mother, and Father. So i rectified the Birth Time using R>P and keeping the Some-how Rule. Again I got two results. Of these only one time, matched with the Some-how rule, and then satisfied the CKV for Lagna, Mother and Father. I then tried CKV for the children 5,7,9 > The gender Tallied pefectly. SO IF WE APPLY BOTH THE SOME-HOW CONNECTION RULE, AND CHECK CKV FOR THE BASIC 1,4,9 CUSPS, AND IF THE BT SATISFIES BOTH THESE CONDITIONS, WE CAN CONFIDENTLY ACCEPT BIRTH TIME AS CORRECT THANKS TO CKV FOR THIS RULE GOOD LUCK --- Rangarajan Krishnamoorthy <ranga wrote: > > > Excellent suggestion. > > Regards, > Rangarajan > > , anant raichur <anant_1608> wrote: > > Dear Rangarajan > > > > I suggest that the CKV rule should be tested ffor the 1st child only > -5th house > > > > Having got this, Cast the chart of this child, and apply the CVK > rule to the > > 3rd house, the next Sibling, instead of applying to 7th. > > > > Similarly to this 2nd child chart apply ckv ruloe to 3rd and 11th. > you can > > verify the gender of both elder and the next younger. > > > > With this it may overcome the anamoloies of 7,9 being normally used > for 2nd and > > 3rd child > > > > This is only a suggestion. Guest guest
Dear Rangarajan, KP 5th Cusp Sbl Rule (Astrosecrets Part I pp 295-296, 304 & Part III, p 84; K.P. Year Book 2000, p 10; Hand Book on Astrology, Part II, pp 88-89) gives better results by taking as a comprehesive Rule other than subdevided Rules as mentioned in the " A Gender Determination Technique " . For the time being results of CKV Rule and three other Rules (from Msg #2671) are shown below. Best regards, tw P.S. Of course, some more charts will be tested with CKV Rule. CKV RULE 1. As per courtesy of KPAstro 2.0,. Mrs. A. Maragatham, 24 Jan 1957, Th, 2:00 AM IST, Chennai, 13N04, 80E17, Sid Time 10:02:45, New KPA 23:10:03, Asc 04Sc59:37, Jupiter dasa balnce 13y:9m:22d 2. Birth Time Rectification, after entering FEMALE in 5th, gives the " Corrected Time " 24 Jan 1957, 2:00:43 AM, only 43sec difference, and given TOB is reliable as expected. 3. I Cusp (Test for HERSELF) 1) Sbl Saturn is in Sc of Female sign. G= FEMALE 2) Stl & Sbl are Saturn and Ssl is Rahu. K= 3 3) Saturn's Ssl is Saturn L= 1 4) Saturn is conjoined with Rahu. M=1 5) N= 3+1+1= 5 6) Since N is odd, the guessed gender is the opposite of G, which is MALE. The answer is " NOT " correct. 4. IV Cusp (Test for MOTHER) 1) Sbl Sun is in Capricorn, Female sign; G= FEMALE 2) Sgl is Saturn. K= 1 3) Sun's sgl is Saturn; L= 1 4) Sun is not conjoined with Ra?ke/Sa; M= 0 5) N= 1+1+0= 2 6) N is even and the guessed gender is G= FEMALE which is " CORRECT " . 5. V Cusp (Test for first child DAUGHTER) 1) Sbl Letu in Taurus, Female sign; G= FEMALE 2) Stl is Saturn and SBL is Ketu; K= 2 3) Ketu's SBL is Saturn; L= 1 4) Ketu is not conjoined with Ra/Ke?Sat; M= 0 5) N= 2+1+0= 3 6) N is odd , the guessed gender is the opposite of G, i.e. MALE which is NOT correct. 6. VII Cusp Sbl Saturn indicates Male , perhaps CORRECTLY for 2nd child SON. 7. IX Cusp Sbl Saturn CORRECTLY indicates Male for FATHER. TEST RESULTS OF KP 5TH CUSP SBL RULE, RAICHUR'S SUGGESTION & BALASEKAR'S HORA RULE (from Msg #2671) 1. As per courtesy of KPAstro 2.0, Mrs. A. Year Book 2000, p 10; Hand Book on Astrology, Part II, pp 88-89) 5th cusp Stl is Saturn and Sbl is Ketu which is in Stl Sun & Sbl Jupiter Saturn, Ketu, Sun & Jupiter in Female signs Sc, Ta, Cp & Vi respectively, very strongly indicating Female b/ As per Raichur's Suggestion (Msg #1707 of Anant Raichur) 5th cusp & 11th cusp Sbl Ket is in Sbl Jupiter which is in Female sign Vi and its Sgl Mercury conjunct Female planet Venus; 2th cusp Sbl Moon is in Sbl Saturn which is in Female sign Sc and its Sgl Mars is Male planet. Strong indication of Female c/ As per Balasekar's Hora Rule (Message # 1686 of Rao; K. P. Year Book 200, p 39) 5th cusp Sbl Is Ketu. Mars is in Ketu star. Ketu is in Stl Sun (10Cp26) which is in the first 15 deg of even house, i.e., Moon Hora indicating Female. 3. Second child, SON, born 06-08-1983 a/ As per 5th cusp Sbl Rule, 7th cusp Stl is Sun and Sbl is Saturn which is in Stl Mercury & Sbl Mercury Sun & Saturn are Male planets but in Female signs Cp & Sc respectively; Mercury is in Male sign Sg; Since the Sbl of 7th Sbl is the decisive one, Male indication is stronger. b/ As per Raichur's Suggestion 7th cusp Sbl Saturn is in Sbl Mercury which is in Male sign Sg and its Sgl Jupiter is Male planet. 2th cusp Sbl Moon is in Sbl Saturn which is in Female sign Sc and its Sgl Mars is Male planet. 11th cusp Sbl Ket is in Sbl Jupiter which is in Female sign Virgo and its Sgl Mercury conjunct Female Venus; Equal indication for Male or Female c/ As per Balasekar's Hora Rule, 7th cusp Sbl Saturn (18Sc23). No planet is in the star of Saturn. Saturn is in the second 15deg of even sign, i.e., Sun Hora indicating Male. , anant raichur <anant_1608> wrote: > Dear Rangarajan > > I tested one of my friends chart, whose BT was approximate. Guest guest
Dear Tin Win, There seems to be some discrepancy in the rectified time you have indicated. I am getting a birth time of 2:0:45 am (and not 2:0:43 as you have indicated) for Ms.Maragatham. For this time, lagna SS lord is Jupiter, not Saturn. In this case 1, 4, 9 cusps match the guessed gender. In fact, if 5th cusp is taken as FEMALE, that also agrees. Incidentally, I noticed in your manual analysis you have taken K = 3. We should only take the signlord, starlord and SS lord for K. Similarly, for computing L, we should not take sublord and SS lord. Please check again and let me know. I am curious as to how you got a different answer with KPAstro. Guest guest
Dear Rangarajan, Thank you. Details were attached to make sure of the understanding of the CKV Rule. TOB was not changed due to a small difference. Okay, after changing TOB as 2:00:45 AM, lagna Ssl becomes Jupiter, not Saturn. But as per the write-up and example, it is to take the CSL of CUSP, i.e. Sbl not Ssl. That is correct, Sbl was included in counting of Ra/Ke/Sa. After making adjustments for all of them, the results as per KPAstro 2.0 are below. Best regards, tw TEST OF CKV RULE 1. I Cusp (Test for HERSELF) 1) Sbl Saturn is in Scorpio, Female sign. G= FEMALE 2) Stl is Saturn. K= 1 3) Saturn's Ssl is Saturn. L= 1 4) Saturn is conjoined with Rahu. M=1 5) N= 1+1+1= 3 6) Since N is odd; the guessed gender is the opposite of G= FEMALE, i.e. MALE which does NOT agree with FEMALE. 2. IV Cusp (Test for MOTHER) 1) Sbl Moon is in Libra, Male sign; G= MALE 2) Sgl is Saturn. K= 1 3) Moon's Ssl is Saturn; L= 1 4) Moon is not conjoined with Ra/Ke/Sa. M= 0 5) N= 1+1+0= 2 6) N is even and the guessed gender is G= MALE which does NOT agree with FEMALE. 3. V Cusp (Test for first child DAUGHTER) 1) Sbl Ketu is in Taurus, Female sign; G= FEMALE 2) Stl is Saturn and Ssl is Rahu. K= 2 3) Ketu's Sgl, Stl & Ssl is not Rahu/Ke/Sa. L=0 4) Ketu is not conjoined with Ra/Ke/Sat. M= 0 5) N= 2+0+0= 2 6) N is even and the guessed gender is G= FEMALE, which AGREEs with FEMALE. 4. VII Cusp (Test for second child SON) 1) Sbl Mercury is in Sagittarius, Male sign. G= MALE 2) K= 0 3) Mercury's Ssl is Rahu. L= 1 4) M= 0 5) N= 0+1+0= 1 6) N is odd, opposite of G= MALE, i.e. FEMALE which does NOT agree with MALE. 5. IX Cusp (Test for Father) Sbl Saturn AGREES with MALE as shown in item 1. , " Rangarajan Krishnamoorthy " <ranga@m...> wrote: > > Dear Tin Win, > There seems to be some discrepancy in the rectified time you have > indicated. Guest guest
Dear Tin Win, Perhaps I did not explain the rule clearly enough. In the procedure you have followed below, for each cusp, in step (3), you have considered the SSL. The rule asks you to look only at the signlord and starlord of the 'cusp' sublord. You have considered the SSL also here. There is an asymmetry in the rule. Taking your Lagna analysis: 1. I Cusp (Test for HERSELF) 1) Sbl Saturn is in Scorpio, Female sign. G= FEMALE 2) Stl is Saturn. K= 1 3) Saturn's signlord and starlord are not Sat/Rah/Ket. L= 0 4) Saturn is conjoined with Rahu. M=1 5) N= 1+0+1= 2 6) Since N is even G is retained. Hence female. If it is still unclear, I will be happy to help. Regards, Rangarajan , " tw853 " <tw853> wrote: > > Dear Rangarajan, > > Thank you. Guest guest
Dear Rangarajan, Thanks again. And checked again. Worthy to note: in step 1 to take " Sbl " not Ssl of the cusp in the test; step 2 to count Ra/Ke/Sa in " Sgl, Stl & Ssl " of Sbl Planet of the cusp in the test but not Sbl; step 3 to count only " Sgl & Stl " but not Sbl or Ssl. If so, it's amazing that results for cusp I, IV, V, VII (2nd child) & IX all AGREE with the gender concerned. Now the rule is clear and some more test results and conceptual comment will be given next time. Best regards, tw , " Rangarajan Krishnamoorthy " <ranga@m...> wrote: > > Dear Tin Win, > Perhaps I did not explain the rule clearly enough.
