Looking at the natal chart we immediately see two configurations. First is the stellium of Sun, Mercury and Venus in the 6th house, and the other is Moon conjunct Rahu in the 5th house of children opposed by close conjunction of Ketu and Uranus These two configurations are linked by Ketu and Uranus close trine to Venus. In the stellium Mercury is close combust the Sun, badly placed, and afflicted by close aspects from both Mars and Saturn. The Mars square is particularly malefic as it is in the Star and Sub of Mercury. Likewise Venus is malefic as it is in 8th Lords Star of Jupiter and sub of Mercury. The Sun by conjunction with Mercury and Venus is poorly placed and badly afflicted. Saturn is malefic and is in the Star of 5th house Rahu and in the Sub of problem Venus. Altogether this is a problem stellium aspected by all the malefics. On the last Solar Eclipse (SE) on 9th April 1986 The SE point came conjunction the 8th house Cusp and very close conjunction the 8th Lagna Bhava (same degree as on the Ascendant). Lord of the 8th is Jupiter. SE Jupiter is exactly conjuncting natal Sun and Mercury activating the problem stellium in a big way. On the day of the event transiting Jupiter comes close aspect to natal Ketu and Uranus so activating the Rahu (5th House of children) Ketu axis in the other configuration. SE Venus who we have seen is malefic in the natal chart, closely opposes natal Saturn which is in the Star of Rahu in the 5th house of children. SE Saturn closely aspects natal Mercury and Sun. On the day of the event transit Venus comes exactly opposition natal Sun and Mercury. So we see a tremendous onslaught on Sun and Mars from SE Jupiter and Saturn triggered by transit Venus on the day of the event. On this day too transit Jupiter triggers the Ketu Uranus and Moon Rahu axis to the 5th house so showing the source of his problem - the children, resulting in his conviction. Ron Gaunt PS. I suspect that most Western astrologers looking at this chart for the first time would say " what a fantastic chart - look at the Mundane square of Jupiter and Venus, right on the angles. " As we have seen Venus is malefic. Jupiter too has its problems. Whilst it looks well placed, it is in the star and sub of Mars.
