hi friends

I am western astrologer and am beginning the study of kp astrology,

as you all can see I dont have all books about this method, can

someone clarify a point?

1-what is the arc or each bhukti? 1g28m53.33 seconds?

or it depends upon the ruler of the bhukti?

IN KP, 360 degress of the Zodiac are divided into 27

Constellations/Stars?Nakshatras. Each of these is of 13 deg 20 min. We use DEG

not grads.

 

This ARC of 13 deg 20 min. is subdivided into 9 unequal parts, called SUBS. So

the extent of subs depends on the SUBLORD. This division is based on the

Vimsottari Dasa System, where each Planet (Sun,Moon, Mars, Merc,Jup, Venus,

Saturn Rahu and Ketu is allotted a fixed Number of years as its Dasa). The

Total of these 9 dasa is 120 years. So the ARC of the Sub is proportional to

its Dasa years out of 120 years. Thus Ketu which has Dasa Years of 7. The Ketu

Sub will have an arc of 7/120 * 13 deg 20 min. Venus has a dasa Period of 20

years. Hence the Venus Sub will have an arc of 20/120 * 13 d3=eg 20 = 2 deg 13

min 20 seconds

 

The order of the Dasa is KETU,VENUS,SUN,MOON,MARS,RAHU,JUPITER,SATURN,MERCURY.

tHE sUBS FOLLOW THE SAME ORDER. The 1st sub of any Star is the StarLord itself.

For Bharani Star, the Star Lord is Venus. The 1st Sub is Venus, followed by

Sun... Ketu
