India Matrimony: Find your life partner

online.

Dear Members,

Since long,in Vedic astrology,(this includes all schools), the houses IV and IX have been designated as "mother's" and "father's" houses...respectively...

Now, several dichotomies arise :

a) If the VIIth from the IVth(mother's house) is taken for the father's...it works out to be the Xth !

b) If we take the opposite way,the the VIIth from from the IXth(father's) works out to be the IIIrd,which should denote the mother. !

c) Again,it is said that from a wife's chart, the VIIth denotes the husband...In that case,in a male's chart, the the IVth is for mother, and the VIthfrom the IVth,which is the IXTh from the lagna,is taken to denote the father...and...

d) If we take the the IXth as denoting the father, the VIIIth from the IXth, (which is the fourth from the Lagna, denoting mother...leads to all-round confusion...! !

It is felt, therefore, that a lot of (basic)research, needs to be done to designate the Mother's and Father's houses respectively,in a scientific way... ? !

I am keenly looking forward to comments from all Members...as to how could this problem be solved satisfactorily...

With kind regards,

lyrastro1

GOOD LUCK !

Dear Friends.

The 9th house is the house of Jupiter, the GURU of indian vedic sysytem. FOR a child, the Father is the 1 st GURU. It is only after he initiates the child, the child can study with the 2nd guru.(TEACHER). So from the spiritual view-point, the Father, the 1st Guru, is shown by the 9 th house.

10th house, shows ones profession, honour, fame and name. So it cannot be taken as the representing father.

In a ladies chart, the 7th shows the Partner, as also in the man's chart.

4th house really is to represent Happiness "SAUKHYA", ans is so associated with HOME, and Mother who give Happiness.

If one wants to test the priciple of 4th, 9th etc, one should research on the Children' charts, and see if their 4th house is connected to the Mother's ascendent, and 9th house cusp is connected to the father's asc.

Having done both in a few cases, I feel the allocation of 9th to father, and 4th to mother is correct.

..

Dear tw853,

Thank you,but I guess It'll still take me some more convincing, especially because the North Indian pundits and the westerners, get things surprisingly right, by considering the Xth house for representing the father.

Any way,presently,personally I consider the IXth,to represent Father,as taught in K.P....

Thanks, any way,for taking the trouble to refer the article, which specifically talks about the Soth Indians and their preference for taking the IX th house for Father and the reasons etc...

Yours sincerely,

lyrastro1

GOOD LUCK !
