Basic delineation method

Hello everyone,

Actually I am still waiting for my french book on KP and reading what

I have (a summary by J. Dethier). However he do not tell how

combinations are made with the planets and houses or how they relate

to the signs.

Since I am beginning to learn KP, I am wondering if we can delineate

planets the same way as we do in regular astrology.

Let's take an example:

Venus is the first planet in the tharabalam of a chart, and neutral,

consequently. It is located in a nakshatra of Ketu which is in the

first house. So Venus " signifies " the first house. Let say Venus

receive an aspect of the Moon, a malefic planet in this chart.

May I say that the qualities of Venus express themselves in the first

house but are contradicted by the bad aspect of the Moon (as if the

Moon was in the first house)?

Of course, I must add what the sub lord means and it aspects.

Kind regards - François

Francois ji,

It will take a little time to grasp as it is very different from classical vedic astrology as well as western astrology. There are few priciples you must keep in mind -

* There is no strict malefic or benefic in KP. It all depends upon the viewpoint. For example a planet can be benefic for health but malefic for finance.

* A Planet gives results of it's nakshatra lord first and then for itself.

I guess, I didn't get your question completly. Even then I am trying to answer based on whatever I understood. If the Venus is in Nakshatra of Ketu situated in 1st house, it will give the result of 1st house in it's vimshottari dasa period. Keep in mind that only vimshottari dasa is used in KP. If Moon is aspecting Venus, The houses signified by Moon will be get added with the house signified by Venus. Now you will have to predict the blend of moon's signified houses, venus's signified hosues, moon's nature and venus's nature.

I hope it will help you in understanding KP.

Regards,

Punit Pandey

Punit Ji (and this is with all my highest respect!),

Your post is kept on disk for further studies. I really need the

basic which Dethier should give me.

Further more, I discover that there is a western tradition of

sidereal astrology which may have been common to hindu astrology

(revati star ayanamsha). So things get more confused. It may take a

while until I understand what is meant by each tradition. Which means

to me that we owe the most respect to those who precede us

(Krishnamurti is indeed one of them !).

François ji,

The best way to understand KP is to get six readers from Shri KSK. Other books and material can confuse a beginner.
