According to KP rule in book (reader 3, pg362) he says judge if 7th lord or significator of 7th has SUB of saturn. The chart I am working on is a Dhanus lagna. 7th cusp is sign - mercury, star - rahu, sub - rahu Rahu is in the 7th bhava conjunct with chandra. Doing a table looking at significators of 7th we get Chandra, Rahu, mercury as significators of the house. sign lord star lord sub lord Chandra - mercury jupiter moon Rahu - moon (in cancer) saturn saturn mercury - saturn (in kumba) mars mercury As regards this rule above it is clear that chandra and mercury have no sub of saturn. But Rahu does have sub of saturn. Do we take rahu's direct sublord ( from the above table) or do we look at chandra as giving the result of Rahu in this case (since chandra is conjoined with rahu )? The orb of conjunction between Rahu and chandra is tight being only 5 degrees apart. chandra 29 dg of mithuna and rahu in 4 dg of kataka. What is the correct conclusion accordking to KP on this issue?. Your help in the matter is v. much appreciated. So as per my opinion thereis no need to identify whether business or service suits him. I am reaching to this conclusion due to heavy influance of Moon and Mercury (both are faster moving planets) on 7th house. If possible, post the current dasa running. Only matching with dasa one can exactly predict the results. I don't have 3rd reader with me but I think Sri KSK's statement must not be taken as it is. I personally conclude that the impact of slow moving planetson 7th house will give service and fast moving planet will give business. As noramlly in service the income is more or less consistant which is not the case with business. It is a general defination only and not a hard and fastrule which may vary with the native.
