Mars and Venus in Pisces - April + May - 2009

Dear Lists,

It appears Mars and Venus have not conjuncted in Venus' exaltation sign of

Pisces for many years - has anyone else noticed this?

When was the last time they met in Pisces?

Best - Sateesh.

Hello Satish,

Last time this conjunction was during Feb-Mar 1985 (27th Jan to 6th March

1985). Then Venus and Mars were placed in Pisces (wide conjunction) for a

short time from 23/05/1990 to 25/05/1990. This time it is from 15/04/2009 to

23/05/2009. Next this will happen from 17/04/2011 to 03/05/2011.

Thanks

Friends,

This is not correct. Check around May 1990. Mars and Venus were in Pisces.

For the speed of Mars and Venus, 24 yrs is too long. It must have occured after

1990 also.

Dear Jyotish-Group member,

May 15, 1990?

Mars in Sidereal Kumbha (25ish), Shukra in meena (20ish) unless one is using a

very far-out ayanamsha

Dear Rohini Ranjanji,

I have a chart with May 24th date of birth, born in India. I use Jagannatha v7.3

Hora software. If you take Delhi place of birth, Ve is in the last degrees and

Mars in the initial degrees of Pisces. They are conjunct for 23rd and 24th May

1990. I think for most places in India this configuration should be valid.

BTW, this is Satya Kolachina. We did exchange astrological views couple of years

ago.

Dear Satya ji,

Your name does sound familiar, perhaps more from reading your messages on the

net than personal communication. Please do not take it personally or in offence

if I do not pin-point you as I used to in my youthful days when memories were

sharper and distractions few -- I am afterall getting longer in the tooth!

On 24th, I too get mars in pisces and venus just out of pisces due to ayanamsha

differences!

So we three -- You, I and Narasimha do not have a conflict at all, just

different ayanamshas that we use. :-)

Dear Rohini Ranjanji,

Yes, you are right; I used to write more messages in this group before; not

getting enough time these days for messages. This one I just picked

unexpectedly, since I have this horoscope with me and wanted to share it with

the group.

I used to enjoy your blog entries too.

I have a quick question; In the case I am referring to, are you of the opinion

that Venus may be treated to be in Mesha instead of Meena? Just share your

opninion.

Thanks,

Satya S Kolachina

Dear Shri Ssatya Sai ji,

Its a pleasure to see you writing once more here after a long stretch. I

did rememebr you once in a while. I also rememebr your great postings

full of knowledge.

There is a method which we use when having to make a choice between 2

planets , in KP system. Now if you do not like this method, I request

that members shoudl not make a critical comment but ignore it. But my

experience of having to deal with at least 15-20 charts per day since

lasty few years tells me that this method is very reliable.

When a planet is at Cusp and we are not sure it will give results of

which house, you must check the Ruling Planets at the moment of

judgement. They would be the Lagna Lord, Moon star lord, Moon raashi

Lord and the day Lord. For instance this moment - 6.01pm 20th April

2009, the Ruling Planets in Bombay, are Mercury , Rahu, Saturn and Moon.

Now suppose one wishes to check whether a particular planet in his chart

would give results of Virgo or the Libra sign, he has to choose, Virgo

because Mercury is there in the Ruling Planets. I have at times given

exact moment (Minute) of events hapenning with the help of Ruling

planets, so do not consider this technique as ordinary.

This is the Divine help one receives when the query is genuine.

Dear Bhaskarji,

I am also glad you are back in the newsgroup.

I am ready to accept valuable input like this if I understand how to use it. In

this case, what if any of the ruling planets do not own either of the two houses

in question ?

When you mention day lord, did you mean the lord of the vedic week day? (like,

Ravi for Sunday, Moon for Monday etc.).

Thanks for your input.

Dear Shri Satya Sai ji,

1) Normally the Ruling Planets will surely help or give a strong clue about what

the astrologer requires. In case he does not receive the clue, then it means

that the question was not put with seriousness in the mind. Another point is

that, we must not make wanton use of the Ruling Planets. Divine inferences must

be made use of scantily and only with reason. It will not work " just to check

leisurely " .

2) This is another good question. The day Lord to be considered would be the

Vedic day, from Sunrise to Sunrise. From Monday Morning sunrise to next sunrise

would be the Day of " Monday " with the Lord of the day as " Moon " .

There are some other rules to the Ruling Planets which I am not taking at the

moment, which if further study made by you, would reveal a treasure of

information.

Ruling Planets are nothing but the pivots of a Prashna lagna made at time of

judgement.

best wishes,

Bhaskar.

Dear Bhaskarji,

THanks for sharing the great pointers. I will investigate further on this.

Dear Satya,

Thank you for pointing this out. I believe that misunderstanding occurred

here-it's not just about Ma-Ve conj. here-  In 1990 - both Mars and Venus were

a)  direct in motion b)  conjuncion orb was too wide, and separating c) thus

having fleeting/insignificantly/ effect.

This  has nothing to do with what we experience now with VeR,

conjunctions with Sun, than Mars, which makes this long transit more important.

Ve Dir-than R, Dir Again  does correspond with some important event when it

happens to go back and forth over natal planets or points- angles /Ds-seventh

House cups, MC, 10th House cusp, Lagna/

Like in Sun/Ve conjunctions: Inferior- Superior, Ve conjunct Sun in direct

motion, passing conjunction point and than  returnig in Re motion to conjunct

Sun again , AND/OR revisiting the first Conjunction point again,  the ENTIRE

period from the first to last conjunction appears to be significant if crossing

over the important points.

With significant impact on a chart, when this happens to occur on a natal planet

degree or angle. If on descendant, may bring love, marriage...On MC- promotion,

status improving news, etc.

The same applies to Mars-Ve /Rx and Direct/ Conjunction.

Add Mars to the picture, and the impact is even greater.

Regards,

Anna

On May 24th, 1990 (is that the date under question?) I get venus almost in the

30th minute of mesha. I do not use Lahiri or Raman though.

To the best of my recollection, I have never 'blogged' really. Perhaps you meant

a message board.

Dear Sateesh,

Sun-VeRx were there first, VeRx slowly crossing your Me-Ds?, than joined by

Mars- /to spoil the pic?/

and Ve is  crossing tthis very point again in direct motion -

the point has become double sensitive for the entire period /VeRx til Ve

Direct/-

Obviously, 1st/7th axis energized :)

Ve/Sun might have brought someone /personal relationship/ to your seventh, Mars

adding some 'dynamic' perhaps?

Regards,

Anna
