Question on widowhood?

Dear Professor,

I have a question on early termination of marriage. In the attached

chart I am not sure how to read the event. The chart is of a person, who

unfortunately lost her husband in middle July, 2008. She was in the middle

of her pregnancy at that time.

Feb 7,1984

Time: 6:32PM Zone: 5:30 DST: 0

Longitude: 86E56 Latitude: 21N30

In this chart,

- Saturn, 7th house lord is exalted in the 3rd house, but debilitated in

the Navamsa

- It is under the benefic influence of the 9th house lord

- The ascendant and the 2nd house lord are in the 6th house

- Sun is under the mild wide influence of Ra

- 12th lord is in the 8th house, but not afflicting it

- Venus is strong and well placed in the 5th house

- Jupiter is strong and well placed in own house

The primary significator of marriage is weak and unafflicted. The

secondary significators are also weak and unafflicted although Venus and

Jupiter and strong, well placed and unafflicted. The native was running

Ve/Ju during July 2008 - both strong benefics.

Based on all these points, I am not sure how to see widowhood in

this chart. I would be grateful if you could provide your advice.

In transit, I can see the natal moon under severe affliction from

transit Ketu. However, it is not clear how this transit could supercede the

dasa/bhukti and cause such a horrific event.

thanks,

Rama

Hello dear Rama,

Both primary and secondary determinants are weak in the chart. The placement of

the twelfth lord in the eighth house also indicates loss of span of marital

life. At the time of the death there was strong exact stationary affliction of

Ketu from the 12th house on the lord of the 12th house placed in the eighth

house. Transit can supercede the sub period results when it is strongly

unfavorable as in this case. If you read the book, How to Identify Significant

Events, it is clearly mentioned there. That is why the continuous performance

of propitiatory remedies is suggested for the functional malefics.

Best wishes.

Respected Professor ,

As we dont know the exact date of termination ,

but if we look at transits on 17th July , we observe that

1. Moon(MMP) is in exact conjunction with Jupiter .

2. Saturn(7L) is turning more weak due to its Transit-Dispositer Sun is in

deep infancy while travelling through 12H.Resulting into Saturn (primary

determinator) and Sun (Asc Lord) weaker in transit also .

Do these 2 points add to the query raised ,If the date is same as above .

Thank you, dear Professor, for elucidating so clearly. Thank you for also

showing that there was an indication of shortened span of marital life

because of the presence of the 12th lord in the 8th house. I had again

assumed that since there was no affliction, there was no significance of

this placement. Is there any generic rule for cases like this where the FM

does not have any influence on the MEP (through the 5 degree orb) but still

has an impact?

Given the weakness of the determinants and the location of the Moon in the

8th house, does this also mean that chances for remarriage are very slim?

Does this also mean that the strong Jupiter and Venus in this chart have no

influence on marital matters?

thank you for your continued guidance,

thanks,

Rama

Thank you, dear Professor.

In this case, the sister of the provided chart wished to know if there was a

chance of remarriage and I did not want to provide an incorrect answer to

her.
