Hello dear list members,

The following has been added to the Pearls of Wisdom on my website:

The mighty and invincible foe of the man is attachment to the world. While

the planets like Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus and Saturn breed

attachment, Rahu turns it into the greed. The greed turns one blind and then

one loses the sense of righteousness to satisfy the greed.

To effectively conquer attachments and be a winner in all situations, one

needs the following attributes:

Valour and fortitude;

Truthfullness and good conduct;

Strength, discretion, self control and benevolence;

Forgiveness, compassion, evenness of mind;

Adoration of God;

Dispassion;

Contentment;

Charity;

Reason;

Highest wisdom;

Pure and steady mind;

Quietude;

Various forms of abstinence;

Religious observance;

Homage to Brahmins and to one's own preceptor;

Piety

Best wishes.

Respected Professor ,

Thank you for the Pearls once again.

Can we say Jupiter breeds most of the

attributes mentioned below ?

If yes,Jupiter's functional nature has any

say towards these attributes ?

Best Regards,

Sachin Verma

Perls of Wisdom mentioned by our Professor are difficult

to follow - if one is living in " society " in a sociable

manner and wants to be " accepted " by society.

Thats why many ministers in India, even reoute to be criminals, are

in high postions.

" Man is born free but is every where in chains " - Rousseau

Society makes us do many things. Man is not free.

It seems that to follow such pearls one would have to

become a recluse or live away from society - in a jungle, away from

all " bad " influences.

All the greed and fraud that is daily exposed in the news is a

creation of the society which has its own definition of " success " .

Plato wrote Republic to - among other things - to achieve good

qualities in members of society. But all such utopias remain a dream.

Houses concerning profession and Income, is the association of Rahu with 8H

leads him/her to greed or inclined to accept bribe, and exalted Rahu makes

an individual amass such wealth , also does Rahu association with 11H makes

Hello Zahid,

Your understanding is right. The strength of the Jupiter and the Sun, however,

help in controlling the temptations.

Best wishes.
