Are deer in woods who get shot now that it is hunting season a substitute for cows, especially to feed in winter with no greens for them to eat? -- L. Perform Vishnu rituals at a Hindu temple for blessings will not work as well as a substitute for feeding cows for propitiating Mercury. Deers would also not substitute for cows.
