The art of prediction enables an astrologer to look into future with confidence and the suggestion of astral remedies helps in preventing mishaps. Astral remedies are two pronged. Firstly, by propitiating the planets exerting unfavorable influences we can avert mishaps. Secondly, by strengthening the weak favorable planets we can produce desired or better results. This morning (5th September, 2008) I received an e mail as reproduced below: " Your prediction regarding timing of conception was brilliantly and amazingly accurate. I did conceive end of July and was confirmed a couple of weeks back. However, on the 3rd of Sep ~5:24 am EST, I suffered a miscarriage and passed out a couple of min and was rushed to emergency. Around 6 am the same day, my mom also fell down the stairs and hurt herself badly. After waiting for so many years, the happiness was shortlived and after this loss, was wondering - 1) could this have been foreseen and prevented even after wearing the gemstones and kavach? 2) is it possible to know when next there will be a chance followed by a healthy pregnancy if any in the near future? 3) During the operation around 3pm yesterday, I took off the kavach and stones pendant (gold). When can i wear it back? " Now in this case while the strengthening measures helped in achieving the desired results for conception, the absence of regular and continued propitiatory remedies for the functional malefic planets caused setback due to malefic transit influences. The significator of progeny, Jupiter, in transit came under the influence of natal most malefic planet, the Moon, in the Sagittarius ascendant. I received another e mail from another person, which I reproduce below: " I know that we are still doing propitiatory remedies, but I'm very concerned about your forecast for Virgo for the weekend of the 14th September. Sometimes the malefic influences may be such that these may not even be tackled with the performance of propitiatory remedies. But, yet we have to sincerely do all which we can to remove the impact of unfavorable planets. On a personal note, as you know I have been studying with you for about 11 years and had the good fortune to meet with you for a few days while you were visiting USA. Since then, I have been using and sharing the kavach and other planetary remedies for our family charts and the charts for clients. Over the years the feedback has been very good from my clients. Those that use the remedies always give me kind words of praise; those the discontinue them will call me from time to time with problems. My own family has had a lot of progress with the remedies, and I am grateful for these, along with the knowledge and guidance you share with SAMVA and SATVA so generously. I also encourage the senior members of these newsgroups to continue their efforts to help others and to teach this knowledge. It is good karma and the natural tendency to share those things in life that are of value. And, it is important to donate some portion of our time and income, especially when we have been blessed with such a divine profession. Today, I resume teaching my weekly class on Systems' Approach, and expect the usual number of 10 to 20 students. I have now been teaching these classes for quite a number of years, and it is always a great joy to watch the students become proficient with this paradigm.
