Guest guest
Prof. ji: You are a successful author and have written various books. Please help with some insights in: 1)How does one identify a successful " book author " ? The spectrum is vast. a) For example, JK Rowling's Harry Potter books are read by readers of all ages, in various countries and various languages. b) Agatha Christie wrote for several years on crime. The reduces the scope (of the age of readers) but she was consistently popular. c) Several authors are " One-hit wonders " i.e. they vanish from the horizon after one good book. 2) From a SATVA view, what differentiates journalism / reporting with book writing? Obviously the qualitative aspect, longevity of the product, time and efforts required are different. 3) Finally, for signing a contract with publisher, what mahurat aspects should be observed. In this day and age, all contracts are emailed / signed first by one party (say, author) and then later by the other party (say, publisher). Would we look at the mahurat purely by author's perspective and timing? Sincere regards and gratitude, Mahendra
Guest guest
Hello dear Mahendra, The books can be of many types. Fiction where imagination and writing power is required. New thought where creativity is reequired more. Simplification of technical books, etc. etc. Adding more explanations for better understanding. The third house is common to all. Fame is linked with strength of third, fifth, second or tenth lords. Fifth house is linked with creative writing. Imagination is given by strong Moon. Simplication is given by strong Mercury. Confusion is added by weakness of Mercury, Moon and the third lord. Best wishes. - Mahendra Saturday, March 29, 2008 6:22 PM Dilineating book authorship Prof. ji: You are a successful author and have written various books.
