Guest guest
Dear professor, http://www.yournetastrologer.com/basic/b11.htm here explained that the sixth, eighth and twelfth houses are called malefic houses or dusthana houses and all houses, other than the malefic houses, are treated as benefic or auspicious houses under the Systems' Approach, so if any planets placed in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,7th,9th,10th,11th means that planets are treated as Benefic planets isn't it? please clarify. thank you Sekhar Now you can chat without downloading messenger. Guest guest
Hello Sekhar, The functional nature of the planet (benefic or malefic) is not decided on the basis of placement in a house but it is decided on the basis of ownership of the benefic or malefic house. FUNCTIONAL NATURE OF PLANETS Functional nature of the planets is the key analytical factor in the horoscopic analysis. Besides Rahu and Ketu, planets whose mooltrikona signs are in the malefic houses (sixth, eighth and twelfth) with reference to the ascendant, act as the functional malefic planets in a nativity. For this purpose, under the Systems' Approach the sign Cancer is considered as the mooltrikona sign of the Moon. The functional nature is dependent on the nature of MT sign house owned by a planet. It is not related to the strength of the planet. A planet may be weak or strong but the functional nature will remain same as per the principle defined for identifying the functional nature of the planet. Besides Rahu and Ketu, following are the functional malefic planets for various ascendants: Ascendant Functional Malefics 1.Aries (Mesh) Mercury 2.Taurus (Vrishbha) Mars, Venus and Jupiter 3Gemini (Mithun) None 4.Cancer (Karkata) Jupiter and Saturn 5.Leo (Simha) The Moon 6.Virgo (Kanya) The Sun, Saturn and Mars 7.Libra (Tula) Mercury 8.Scorpio (Vrishchak) Venus and Mars 9.Sagittarius (Dhanu) The Moon 10.Capricorn (Makar) The Sun and Jupiter 11Aquarius (Kumbh) The Moon and Mercury 12.Pisces (Mina) The Sun, Venus and Saturn Best wishes. www.YourNetAstrologer.com www.JyotishRemedies121.com A-105, South City II, Gurgaon 122018, (India).
