Does each house come between the cusps or is the cusp the center of the house? It would be helpful if you could refer members on this list to a site which gives the basics of KP. (Most list members won't even know that KP refers to.) Even I don't know the English translation for 'Padhdhati.' Yes, a summary of KP and a few basics would be nice. Also, if there's a good book out there on KP, please let us know. The original Krishnamurti books read like a foreign puzzle. The cusp is the start of the house. My results in prashna in particular have amazed me. Look, I was taught traditional Vedic by my friend K.N Navaratnam who was a student of Seshadhri Iyer. He always encouraged me to look at KP although it was very hard at first as no computer program had the full calculations and as you say, the KP books are tough reading. However, if you get the principles of it and set up your computer correctly it is by far the best system I have used. When you use KP you must remain very disciplined and work step by step. For sure it is not the easiest system but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I kept noticing that Pundit could give a great reading on character and the basic predictions through the dasha system using the basic birth chart and divisionals. He fell down badly in giving clear predictions of events and as most people just want questions answered I decided to study prashna. Never ever did I think it worked so bloody well. I still get totally amazed at times by it. > It would be helpful if you could refer members on this list to a site which > gives the basics of KP. (Most list members won't even know that KP refers > to.) Even I don't know the English translation for 'Padhdhati.' I have a site at www.members.optusnet.com.au/skinbags although most of the articles are old and stale I have tried to stick to unchanging principles in my writings. There are a number of articles that explain the basics. Look at Ron Gaunt, he has taken up KP and yesterday gave a brilliant and accurate interpretation of the blind chart using KP. See this is what it should be about, with prashna you can give answers to questions people ask. Ask Patrice about some of my prashnas and she will confirm how often the correct answer comes through. I will give you a couple of basic examples. This year I was in Thailand watching Wimbledon, Roddick blasted Federer in the first set but I sensed he could not keep up that standard of play. I cast a prashna and it said Federer would win. I have done this a lot. I also did a number of prashnas on the election. Everyone of them said Bush. My friend Henry who is a KP prashna man went for Kerry, right up to the election eve he was insisting I was wrong and Kerry would win. Bush won in a canter. I also did one for the Australian election. It showed John Howard a clear winner although the polls showed it was too close to call clearly. Howard won easily. I also picked Arnold S with prashna but my real big results have been with personal questions asked by people. A guy called Mr D called me from Brazil, he wanted to go on a spiritual tour in India with Subramuniyaswami but he had no money and thought it would not happen. I cast a prashna and said he was likely to go, the money would come. I checked his natal chart and it confirmed my prashna was correct. I never heard what happened until I saw photos of him on a website on the Indian tour. He did indeed make it. LOL I have used prashna to ask if I will sleep with certain women, travel, return to home etc. My failures were mostly due to sloppy work but sometimes an answer just doesn't seem to want to come so I just leave it thinking I am not supposed to know the answer. For those who don't know, KP prashna requires a number between 1-249 to be given by the questioner, we then cast the chart with ascendant located in the sub division of the number given. See we have 27 nakshatras and we divide them by nine like when we calculate the Bhukti periods in the main dasha period. This gives 243 sub divisions plus 6 more where there is an overlap at the junction of the signs. This gives 249 subs. Paddhadi means method or system if I remember correctly. I have kept most of my correct prashnas and will be showing some of them on my own group. I am not one of these people who says he is correct all the time. If I put in the effort and concentrate on what I am doing my average of correct prashnas is very very good. I tend to be sloppy or do them too quickly at times. > Yes, a summary of KP and a few basics would be nice. Also, if there's a > good book out there on KP, please let us know. The original Krishnamurti > books read like a foreign puzzle. Look I could explain the basics of KP in 5 minutes, it is not as complicated as some want it to be. Look at Ron, I don't think he has been doing it more than a few months, he has got it down very well. It is just a matter of changing your methodology. I only offer all this for the sake of the student. I have been on a long ride in astrology. I was very fortunate I never learned western astrology. I learned traditional Vedic and have looked at all the ways of using it. Systems approach and all of that stuff. I only ask people to look at KP and see it working. You will never deny it if you learn to use it correctly. I also use progressions of the Moon in particular. I could show you one technique that would change your whole outlook on astrology it works so well. Even my old friend Henry was impressed, he personally knew Manick Chand Jain and all the old astrologers like Fagen very well. He is 76 and lived in India and Thailand most of his life. He has had a good look at every system and every technique known to astrology. He insists KP is the best. One technique I use now is so good but I have never seen it taught or even mentioned in any book anywhere. I will probably reveal it on my group and its simplicity will surprise you. I can back it up with many clear examples. I explained it to Patrice and already she has used it with success. I said the event would take place on Wednesday this week. I just got a phone call from the person in question and he confirmed the event took place. Now I want to post the chart and ask in anybody can give me the nature of the event. REPLY: I know nothing of Vedic practices. I use Sidereal methods based on Cyril Fagan's work. In this case, I have cast the prior year and following year Solar Return charts and have then calculated the intermediate chart for the Jan. 19th date. I proportionalize the angles between the two Solar Returns using a rate of MC movement of approximately 450 degrees per year or 1.25 degrees per day (actually I used the ST values as the basis for this calculation). The resulting chart tells me that: 1) This particular date represented a major turning point or time of empowerment when the subject felt they were on top of the world. This is due to the natal angles being almost coincidental with the progressed-to-this-date SR angles. 2) The subject took an action to reaffirm his/her identity, making a strong move in his/her social circles and exercising a stronger sense of personality and confidence than was normal. This is seen by the natal Sun being close to the event-charts ASC. angle. 3) This affirmative action highlighted a unique streak within the personality that drew upon possible dormant or long-unused interests. This is signified by natal Uranus being opposite the ASC angle. 4) The subject was harrased or encouraged in some way to take this action which apparently went beyond expected limits. There may have been a sense of growing panic behind this event. This was suggested by transiting Mars and Pluto opposed the progressed ASC for that day. 5) NOW WE GET TO SOME INTERESTING STUFF. I take the MC-to-ASC arc and project it towards the DSC angle area of the chart. I call this the CD or Co-Descendant. This angular area represents " where people walk into our lives uninvited and meddle with us. " This point is bracketed by transiting Venus/Mercury and Sun. This tells me that some form of creative event (an art show, a presentation of some form of creative work of the subject) and a competitive person or partner of some sort was present and responsible for this situation. Further, Saturn opposed this point, suggesting that there was resistance or a situational format that was working counter to the creative process and significant efforts of the other authority figure involved. Since the MC-IC angles for this event date are not closely populated by natal or event-date planets, we have to look a little further to define this event. The 2004 Solar Return may give us some clues. Transiting Venus on the event date was contacting the 2004 SR MC suggesting that something creative or of a beauty-related subject was likely. Event Neptune was opposite the 2004 SR ASC, a short distance from the natal Moon position. Crowds or a public situation is suggested. From all of this, I would expect that some form of art show, beauty contest or public contest would be involved. A competitive or angry or domination undercurrent seems to have been present. This seems to be related to an authority figure, real or institutional, even behind the scenes. Anger may have been projected by the subject due to an adverse reaction by others or deceit or unappreaciated facts. Expectations seem to have not worked out completely as hoped for. I'll be interested to hear the actual facts relative to this subject and date. Dave.

Guest guest
Respected Members, Following is the detail of a chart. DOB: 24/04/1952 Time:00:30 AM Longitude: 83E48 latitude: 26N31. The native could not complete his basic education. (Moon placed in afflicted house, Dispositor weakness, Combustion of Moon Debilitation of Mercury, Afflicted Jur contributed to this). Moon being the 7th lord and weak in chart (his wife doesn't posses good health. She is dominating too. They are living in separate cities because of job since last 10 year but not divorced.) settled after lot of struggles in career. (Affliction to 2, 10 Houses MEP) During the Sub Period of Jupiter: 1. His wife went through an operation. (Thyroid) I think we understand it happened due to afflictions to concerned houses/planets. 2. His mother was seriously ill and everybody left the hope of her survival but finally she survived. (Jur is afflicting 4H MEP and afflicted from Ketu, Moon in close conjunction and aspect of Malefic Jur, Ketu, Moon is combust and weak dispositor). 3. His partner cheated him. (Jur afflicting weak 7L) Please share your opinions regarding the followings: a) What contributed in his mother survival despite of such weaknesses. His mother is still alive. b). Why he is in job despite of exalted and soundly placed 10L. whenever he started a business, it finally landed him into losses. he is in job since last 15 years. c) Getting double inheritance( father & uncle) rather than loss. He is adopted by his uncle. 8H MEP is afflicted, 9L debilitated, 4H afflicted. d) Weak 7L and afflicted 8H MEP but no divorce. Does exalted venus and exalted 8L contributed to it. Thanks & Regards, Pradeep
