Thanks, Morgana, but the real trick is to be able to use the information in reading real life horoscopes--to be able to apply the symbolism so that horoscopes come alive. That's another whole area, and I suppose that's when we could use a live classroom with a lot of astrologers adding insights and asking questions. Sometimes I feel we're at the very beginning of the road when it comes to the sidereal signs. I've heard too many Tropical astrologers say that there's really no relationship between the signs and their rulers. Then why would we have rulers (sign lords) in the first place? Anyhow--we have to begin somewhere, and we might as well start with mythology and go from there--especially since the sidereal zodiac is tied more closely to the actual constellations. He also has the unique ability to be rather sensual, yet he feels he has a real attunement to God. Sidereal Gemini--who would have guessed? These various ideas come to me about the sidereal signs. I hope that they're somehow inspired and not my imagination. I drafted these articles (chapters) in 1985!! I think I'll do Scorpio next. Pluto has been transiting sidereal Scorpio for a long time now, and events have been SO Scorpionic. All the sex everywhere, molestatons coming to light, bloodshed, violence, war, etc. Also some good stuff like the emphasis on physical exercise to aid weight loss and health. Read the signs you have written on. I am intrigued!! I haven't run into the blend of the two signs as you have done. So, print out time and adding to my study. I have a book by Kathleen Burt titled " Archetypes of the Zodiac " she has been my one really good reference on signs and mythology. I need to go back now and reread to see if Taurus and Gemini blend as you have done. I really like your blend it makes more sense. more practical in human behavior. So, thanks! Guest guest
Funny thing is, Therese, I always thought diet and health matters were related to Virgo. I've also known other people with Saturn on the asc who are very much into vitamins and whatever it takes to make their bodies healthy. I think it may be a compensatory thing. Wherever S is, we feel the least secure, so when it's on the asc, we feel insecure that our bodies are adequate and we take very good care of them. Conversely, I've known S rising folks who didn't take care of themselves at all .... as though, what's the use? It's one extreme or the other. Deb? How about you? Are you very health and proper diet oriented? .... Guest guest
NO! However, I am consumed with having to take a lot of medicine. I think because of my Neptune there too. I forget to eat. I don't much like eating or preparing food. When my children were younger though, 3 sq cooked balance meals on the table per day, vitamins and various meds and docotor appts consumed my day to make sure all was alright and everyone cared for. It is my husband who is health conscious. vitamins, food, has to investigate everything health wise even medicines and their side affects. He is a Cancer rising with a S in 1st hse. He has a real fear of hospitals and doctors too. He is so consumed and I need to rely on my doctors and meds that maybe we traded places in feelings. But quite truthfully, I live with health problems so it is just an ordinary thing for me. No big deal. I feel - take the pill and move on - there are more important things to think about and worry about. D p.s. I have an Aunt who is a Virgo. She is 81.5 yrs. she takes one vitamin a day. that's it. Doesn't go to the doctor, no mamograms, no paps,no heart tests, no colon, no tests, nothing. She was a nurse when she was younger. Had nine children. other than getting shorter, healthly as all get out. I really beleive its her spirit and attitude. I just added a short bio page linked near the bottom of the main page. I don't like to advertise myself as a person, but a few people have asked. I'm mainly interested in astrological concepts and how astrology works in real life! I figure **everything** I write is 'in process,' and other astrologers will add to what is valuable and delete what might not work out so well. Astrology is so vast that we'll never have it all together--not in our lifetimes, anyway. Astrology is very Neptunian in that it's a constant journey of exploration and discovery--at present there are no bounds to what we don't know yet. Guest guest
You sound like a friend of mine whose horoscope is similar to yours. She also has Saturn and Neptune in Virgo in 1st, Jup. in Pisces in 7th, and Moon in 9th in Taurus. She doesn't eat breakfast, has a handful of nuts and some juice for lunch, and cereal for dinner. She is not in the least into cooking or food prep. She didn't even own pots or pans for a long time. Totally not into food (no husband or kids). The 2nd hs rules food. You have the ruler of your 2nd in 12th with Ketu. She has her 2nd ruler in 4th, squared by S and opposed by Uranus. She enjoys food well enough if someone else prepares it, just has no interest in fixing it herself. I love food and enjoy cooking, but I have many food allergies, so that throws a clinker in it. I have 2nd ruler in 12th, cnj Uranus, qncx'ed by Mars; also PL and Rahu in 2nd. Perhaps since 2nd ruler is exalted that's where the love of food and cooking ability come in, but the 12th placement and stressful asps, as well as difficult planets in 2nd give probs in that area. Aside from being health foody I was a vegetarian for 9 yrs but couldn't keep it up because of the allergies. So, you can see I have food issues. Some of the books say that Rahu in 2nd has probs with drugs and alcohol and eating tamasic garbagie food. With me it's sort of the op. I obsess on purity. My grandmother wasn't a health foodist and she lived to be 103. Go figure! She never smoked or drank, didn't learn to drive so she had to walk to the store, post office, wherever. Ate moderately. If she had ice cream, it would be one scoop. Likewise with chocolate ... one square of a Hershey's bar. She didn't esp like food, so only ate as much as she needed. Probably folks who aren't crazy about food are better off, as long as they don't reject it entirely. I wish I knew her birth time. .... Guest guest
Respected professor, That means strength of these planets means better success in professional life and job of a good status in case of gemini ascendant, doesn't it? For that matter, we need to strengthen moon and sun if these are weak. I have an important concern on this point. Actually this point clashes with traditional astrology as later suggests that Sun and Moon are highly malefic for Gemini ascendant because they own third and second houses respectively. So, they should never be strengthened. Regards, Ajay Shekhar Dubey " siha " <siha Wednesday, 17 October, 2007 9:15:55 AM Re: Gemini Hello Lila, The Moon and the significator Sun. Guest guest
Dear Professor, I seek your advice on the following points: 1. I am also having a Gemini ascendant and I've got Sun under close viccinity of Rahu, which is a malefic planet for this ascendant. Is this the reason for unsatisfaction with my present occupation? So, for the matter, would strengthening of Sun help? 2. Further, moon is also in last five degrees of ascendant which makes it very weak. Should this be empowered somehow along with Sun? 3. Is jupiter playing some role in this matter? 4. I am presently in the field of software developement and my domain is telecommunication. Does that mean mercury is playing some role which is placed near sun in the second house. Please explain the influences of planets in setting this profession. For your reference, My birth details are as follows: date : 9th august, 1980 time : 01:53 IST place : Bokaro(India) Thanks in advance. Best wishes. - " ajay dubey " <ajayshekhardubey Thursday, October 18, 2007 11:28 AM Re: Gemini Dear Professor, I seek your advice on the following points: 1. I am also having a Gemini ascendant and I've got Sun under close viccinity of Rahu, which is a malefic planet for this ascendant. Is this the reason for unsatisfaction with my present occupation? So, for the matter, would strengthening of Sun help? THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS. 2. Further, moon is also in last five degrees of ascendant which makes it very weak. Should this be empowered somehow along with Sun? YES. 3. Is jupiter playing some role in this matter? JUPITER TOO IS WEAK DUE TO WEAKNESS AND AFFLICTION OF DISPOSITOR. 4. I am presently in the field of software developement and my domain is telecommunication. Does that mean mercury is playing some role which is placed near sun in the second house. Please explain the influences of planets in setting this profession. MERCURY IS ON THE MOST EFFECTIVE POINT OF THE SECOND HOUSE. IT ALSO NEEDS TO BE STRENGTHENED. VENUS IS HELPING YOU THE MOST. For your reference, My birth details are as follows: date : 9th august, 1980 time : 01:53 IST place : Bokaro(India) Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Dear Professor, I will again require a piece of your valuable time for one more question. Recently, I have been involved in modelling activities and fashion show but the profession demands much of my time and effort from my side. I am curious to know if it will be good to go for this as a profession or even as a side profession. Would I need to strengthen venus or any other planets for doing better in the field. Please advise. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hello Ajay, You can certainly go for this. Strengthening Moon, Sun, Saturn and Mercury will help you.
