Close / exact conjunction of Sun and Mercury

Dear List members,

 

In the case where Sun and Mercury are both benefic and within 1 degree

I understand that Mercury's significations are weak especially under

the influence of transit malefic planets but that the significations

of the house ruled can flourish.

 

I want to know about the effect on the planets in the house ruled by

Mercury. Are they strengthened by the close conjunction of their Lord

with the Sun? Or are they weakened by Mercury's diminished strength as

when a combust planet is more that 5 degrees from the Sun?

Hi Paul,

 

A planet is only as strong as its dispositor. Any FB planet conjunct FB Sun

gets exponential results, especially if in good strength otherwise, but will

suffer proportional to the degree of combusion when weak in transit. You can

expect the same for planets of good strength in the MTH of such a combust

planet.

SIGNIFICATIONS OF THE HOUSE RULED BY MERCURY GET SETBACKS DURING TRANSIT

WEAKNESS AND AFFLICTIONS. STRENGTHENING MERCURY PROTECTS TO A LARGE EXTENT.

THEY ARE WEAKNED DUE TO WEAKNESS OF THEIR DISPOSITOR, MERCURY.
