Guest guest
Hello list moderator, To get rid of unwanted postings there are several options, depending on the severity of the case. The most straight forward way to take care of individual posters creating a nuisance is to go to 1. Management 2. Group settings 3. Messages 4. Posting and Archives (Edit) 5. Posting Options 6. Moderation - and select: New members Incoming messages may then be screened and rejected (with explanation) or deleted if necessary. The second option is to Ban a member who refuses to stay within the list guidelines. This targets the IP as well as the user identity. The third option, is for really pesky cases of nuisance posting. This is to register a complaint with the .com editorial group, including all the IP numbers and user ids of the offeding poster. If found to be based on repeat violation of rules, the IP numbers involved may be excluded from the network. It is to the benefit of the list members that the list be kept free from nusiance posters. Good luck with it. Best regards, C
Guest guest
Hello dear Cosmologer, Patience is the best word. Where one know's that the person is wasting time, just in the first place ignore messages by not opening. I know all the options and use them at the appropriate time. Thanks for your suggestion.
