Guest guest
Hello dear Professor and respected members, Generally, it is not my intention to occupy your agenda with my questions. This time I need your clarification. I have this native's data who was put under medical treatment of lymphatic cancer (hockins type), as she was just 2 months old, until she turned 6. Since then, she got nothing serious healthwise. March 25, 1960 ; TOB= 23h30 - 24h00 Zone= 2 east Istanbul 41n01 28e58 dst=0 I appreciate your comments/answers for the following; 1) Is lymphatic system analysed thru 11th or 12th H significations? If it is the 11th h, malefic influence of the 12th lord Venus on Mercury makes sense. But, if it is the 12th H, it doesn't give clear indication. 2) 6th H lord, Mars, is weak due to infancy. This supports the native's cancer history. However, with such a weak Mars, hence 6th h, the native should have suffered serious health problems throughout her life. But, it is not the case. 3) Some bad things happened in her life (death of father; divorce, loss of top level job) during Me-Sa sub-period, even though Sat is benefic and strong. Is it because of the location of MMP Venus on the MEP of the 4th H (Sat's MT house) ? 4) Ra/Ke axis causes no affliction in the chart. Does it mean that during Ketu main period, only the TR position of Ketu is applicable? 5) Native got married to a foreign national twice , first in foreign land, second in her native country. Both took place during the Sa-Ra sub-period. Why Rahu, I don't understand? 6) When is the next possible period to merry ; Ke-Su, Ke-Ju or Ke-Sa, or none? 7) It is my understanding that the native could find a proper job and could relocate as Ke-Venus sub-period starts in 2007and her status rises in Ke-Sun sub-period afterwards. Is this correct? Thank you in advance for your help. Best wishes. Sinan Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail Beta.
Guest guest
Hello Sinan, 2)- When you said as an infant the child was gravely ill, I immediately looked for a rapt affliction. And there it was Mars afflicting Rahu. It occurred in a debilitated Mercury period. The strong Jupiter, ruling glands, second house (thyroid, throat, wealth for treatment) must have pulled her through. Twelfth house is the lymph system. It's lord, Venus, is boosted by weak 11L Mercury some. Alone, Venus is very strong. Guest guest
Hello Mr. Karacan, At birth she was in the sub period of Mercury which is suffering from an exact affliction. When she was given treatment for lymphatic treatment, transit Rahu was stationary on the natal Rahu. So, the impact was for short duration. Lymphatic system is signified by the 12th house. She did not find serious health problems after the lymphatic treatment is because she had been in the main period of Jupiter in the first place which is strong in the chart. I add my replies/comments to your other questions in your message appended below. Guest guest
Hello Mr. Sinan, One more thing about the transit influences in this chart. Rahu/Ketu axis is again now stationary at almost the same degree on the reverse natal position. It calls for extra care for health. Guest guest
Dear Sinan, With regard to question #3, afflicting transits take precedence over strong subperiods. For example, from February-April, 2006, Rahu slowed down over her weak natal Sun, signifying father, and afflicted the 9th house MEP (again, father) at the same time. Sun is also prime determinant for profession in this chart, so that suffered at this time, also. Guest guest
Dear Dr. Smith, Based on the multitude of problems faced by the native in the Saturn sub-period, MMP Venus is likely afflicting the 4th and 10th houses within 2 degrees. This would make the 4th and 10th houses, ruled by Saturn and Sun respectively, afflicted. Her problems in married life are then readily explained then by the severe affliction to the 4th house; the impact of this was felt during Saturn's sub-period. Divorce and job loss are too serious in nature to be explained by transits alone in my opinion. The natal chart itself has to give us a strong indication that such events can take place. Guest guest
Hello Professor, I was looking for the close affliction for infancy and saw Mars/Rahu and it was the Venus Mercury one more importantly.. but Venus is strong and supported by Mercury. So I'm not sure I understand. The functional health signifier, Mars was afflicting Rahu. In Rahu periods or transits though health is compromised then, correct? Was Jupiter enough for strong health, when Mars rules the sixth house? Mars is also strong in this chart. Thank you. Guest guest
Hello Ms Sally, When there is stationary influence of nodes it is the most difficult period and illness in infancy was timing to this. Other planetary afflictions do play their role but that is secondary. The exact affliction of Venus to Mercury may be manifesting in the form of nervous pressure and weak intestinal function besides income problems, problems to friends and elder coborns. Such an exact affliction may not bless the person with an elder brother. People generally do not take the health problems serious until there is hospitalisation or lot of pain. During the main period of strong functional benefic planets the sub period of FMs and afflictions show mild results. Prime determinant of health Mars is weak but some support comes from the well placed Sun (weak due to debilitation in navamsa). If the ascending degree is upto 16.30, Saturn too remains strong and the damage is comparatively less. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Karacan, Based on the events that unfolded in the Saturn sub-period, I doubt that it is a strong planet. If we treat Saturn as a weak planet (due to its MT being under exact affliction), the transits of FM planets can wreak more havoc than they could if Saturn was strong during the said sub-period. An exact affliction would weaken the 10th house considerably as well. This explains the job loss better than mere weakness of L10 due to navamsa debilitation. The exact affliction to the 4th MEP would cause domestic turmoil and unhappiness in marital relations. If Saturn is strong, then all her marital planets (L2, L4, L12) would be strong too; this does not explain her unhappy marriage. If Saturn/L4 are treated as weak, L12 Venus turns weak as well. The strength of L2, being the significator for husband Jupiter as well, gives her a good chance to continue marrying. Ditto with the good placement of secondary significator Sun. Unless Venus is propitiated and Saturn is strengthened, things will continue to be difficult for her on the marital front. Guest guest
Dear Professor, Thank you for your answer. I understand now the severe nature of the stationary nodes on the nodal points. So then, wouldn't the Mars-Rahu affliction in the sign of Virgo portend the illness at the time of the transit. Doesn't it have to show somewhere in the natal chart? As Rahu represents the eleventh house and by default the sign of Virgo, then doesn't your rule of the degree/decade, rapt affliction accounting for infancy take effect here? The one where you say, then the first subperiod of the planet involved will show the results... Guest guest
Hello Arun, Yes, I agree that the natal chart needs to show indication and that a Saturn weakened by an affliction to its house better reflects these events in its subperiod. Birth time would have to be advanced at least 17 minutes and the events reexamined relative to the readjusted subperiod dates. Warm regards, Shayn , Arun Rao <arunrao9 wrote: > > Dear Dr. Smith, > > Based on the multitude of problems faced by the native in the Saturn sub-period, MMP Venus is likely afflicting the 4th and 10th houses within 2 degrees.
