Can I request for your expert comments on the following chart please? I will be much obliged. This chart belongs to the son of a colleague of mine from the Indian Air Force who retired a couple of years ago in the exalted rank of an Air Marshall. His son, unfortunately, has not been doing as well in life. His father provided the necessary university education and tried his best to set him up in a useful, productive career but he has still not been able to find his feet even at age 35. A few years ago the young man moved to Australia and has been trying to get a job in the field that he is quite good at: writing on defence, aviation related matters. He was successfully doing this for a leading magazine before he left India but in Australia he has not been able to get a foothold. Though he has good mental capacity and capability he is very shy, reserved and tends to withdraw into his shell. My analysis so far: he is a Cancer lagna. Lagna point is at 23* 47’ in Cancer. Ketu, the planet of miseries, is closely conjunct the lagna point and also afflicts Mercury, lord of the 3rd house of initiatives. Rahu/Ketu axis afflict all odd numbered houses. Lagna lord, Moon, is badly placed in the 8th house of obstacles and is in old age. Mars, lord of the 10th house of profession, though well placed in the 7th house is also very weak being in old age. The other two benefics, Venus and Sun are badly placed in the 12th house with the latter also in old age. He is presently running the period of Me/Ma but from next month his Ra sub period commences. The subsequent two sub periods of Ju and Sa are also not very promising. The following Ke dasa from Apr 2014 also doesn’t promise much improvement. I would recommend strengthening of weak benefics with a special power kavach and propitiation of Rahu & Ketu. Have I missed anything? Can you throw some more light on his personality problems and what can be done to resolve these? Though his parents are trying their best to help him, has his father’s immense professional success tended to give him a feeling of inadequacy and a sense of never being able to follow in his footsteps? Strengthening with primary gems and SPK, and regular propitiation of Ra/Ke will help. Ju and Sa aren't causing problems, but the axis closely afflicts all even signs. Even though he's grown, the parents may have to do the propitiations for him and encourage him alot. Please seek the Professor's opinion on this last point. He may do better if he migrated. Because I don't really know how much faith and belief this young man will have in astrology and astral remedies. Also, will he fare better after migration? (He has already migrated to Australia. He moved a few years ago). He is still unmarried, though. What are his prospects of finding a good job in line with his interests? Is there any hope of his leading a happy married life, if he does get married? Thank you. With best regards. Parents can do propitiation for their children. To deal with the close nodal affliction in this case strengthening of the weak planets and propitiation, both are necessary for improvements. His reserved, withdrawn nature probably makes him shy and hesitant in dealing with people of the opposite sex as well. The weak and afflicted 1st and 3rd houses are the contributing factors here.
