But exaltation is possible only in the evil 12th house. a " malefic house from the Asc " ? Wouldn't Sun in 12th house then, even if exalted, also damage its MT house significations (the 4th house)., as well as health problems for body parts represented by the Sun ? There may be some small losses due to transit afflictions and placement of transit Sun in sixth or eighth houses. I''ll bother you once more, with 2 more questions till I get it right :- -- Q 1.Is there a scientific method to confirm which malefic planet would cause greater harm to profession? For exapmple, in Chart 30, Cancer Asc on pg 70 of 'Impact of Asc Signs', no mention is made of Mars (14:23) under severe affliction and within Rahu-Ketu axis (12:44). If lord of house of Profession is conjunct Ketu and under direct asp of Rahu, does it not indicate a troubled career? Or is the effect of MMP Saturn on 2nd house more important than the combined effect of Ra-Ke on lord of 10th house ? 2. Does a FB planet extend its orb beyond 5 degrees if strong ? In the same chart it is mentioned that 'Venus (13:18) is 'well-placed in Asc(8:16) near its MEP'. The book impact of ascending sign has been revised and updated three years back. It would be better to refer to the latest edition.
