SA on the Gunas?

Dear Sri Amar Puriji,

Namasthe.Prior to the Conf, I had asked the Professor, whether during the conf,

I could also invoke sutras of VA, whereever SA is silent on the said themes. The

Prtofessor was truly magnanimous and said, I was free to invoke the VA sutras,

where I felt the need for the same.

However, as I started speaking, I found, I was running out of time, so I

byepassed the VA sutras, but adhered closely to the SA.

In the Prof's SA, he does not, need the Gunas, or the Nakshatras, or even this

understanding of the D,A,K and M spheres; since the SA has arisen out of a

response to the world's Qs.As the world is obsessed with A and K, in the present

age, there was no reason for the Prof. to cover the D and M spheres-as no one

came to him, with these kind of Qs.But there are enough sutras in the SA, in

spite of its focussing on the A and K spheres;which give lovely insights into

the spiritual life as well. And I have used these SA sutras in my applications.

In VA, the IVH, VH and IXH are considered sattvic and the planets Ju, Su and the

Mo are considered also Sattvic. These are also accepted as such by the Prof in

the SA; so far as I have been able to infer. In VA, Ma Ve and Me are considered

Rajasic, while Sa, Ra, Ke and sometimes Ma are considered Tamasic.

Thanks for the kind words.

Best Regards

Sankara

Thank you immensely Shri Sankara Bhagavadapada Ji for your kind

explaination.

Kindly allow me further to ask for your grace out of my inquisitiveness to

describe in a text message or in a picture form from your power-point

presentation during the Conf. which throw light on these four spheres of

Life:A,K,D and M. One picture for ancient Hindu Society, another for

contemporary Society for the benefit of us all on this form.

With my best regards............................Amar Puri.
