This principle was amply discussed in the International Conference while taking up the case studies. That is why the lord of the ninth house has been equated to the Sun. The second house rules the status with the state, higher education (intellect) and wealth. These aspects are signified by the planet, Sun. That is why the lord of the second house has been equated to the Sun. The third house rules courage and communications which is must for leaders who are like the kings in the present times of democratic froms of Govt. Due to this reason the lord of the third house has been equated with the Sun. I do not see any mention of the ninth lord acting as the Sun in the updated edition of the book, Predictive Techniques. The lords of the second and third houses are mentioned in the Preface. Perhaps I am just missing it? Was the ninth lord recently added in at the Conference? Also, what is the reasoning behind those three lords in particular representing the Sun, as opposed to say the lord of the first house or the lord of the tenth house? I am mentioning these lords as the Sun acts as a karaka for their house significations (in addition to the ninth house). The Sun aquires and the Moon has it due to virtue of being related to the Sun. So, we limit the Moon to represent the significations of the 4th house.
