Dear Vyasmunidas,

 

Hare Krishna.

 

Yes, I did to some extent because rectification was required. Although, the

present Iskcon Vedic Astrologers take into consideration the rising sign as

Capricorn which does not correspond to His level of achievements. Only

Saggitarius rising sign absolutely correspond to His level of Spritual

success.

this simple knowledge of Vedic Astrology available to each and every one of

us on this Planet.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this. My immediate question

comes from SP's own words:

 

" An astrological researcher wrote from London asking for Srila

Prabhupada's time and date of birth. Prabhupada obliged

him. " Regarding your question about my birth. I was born September

1, 1896, Tuesday at about 4:00 in the afternoon. My rasi is Mithuna. "

 

If he meant his Moon sign, then the TOB would be much later after

4pm (Moon 27Ta46). If he mean't his ASC, then it would be much, much

earlier than 4pm. So I see the obvious confusion.

 

Assuming the Sg chart is correct, what's the effect of Ke exactly

conjunct Ju in H9? This is an open question to everyone, especially

the good .

Well as such you have sought open comments on the chart of HDG Srila

A.C.Bhaktivedanta

Swami Prubpada my comments are as under:

The Saggi Asc, actually, does not appeal to me on the following grounds:

 

Though I am not much aware of Swami Jee's Life, but it can be easily assumed

that he might have been a Man of Cool temprament with abundant wisdom to

share and also with clarity of mind. In Saggi Lagna, the Lagnesh Jupiter

becomes afflicted by Ketu in 9th house, fifth lord Mars is in 6th house and

Moon causes affliction to 6th and 12th houses besides making its own house

weak. So these points cause confusion in taking Saggi as Lagna. Though the

combination of Ketu + Jupiter in 9th house while 9th lord Sun is strong does

indicate spiritual/religious inclinations but then also the negativity on

the part of Moon, Mars and combination of Ketu+Jupiter do not seem to be

appropriate enough. These combinations also indicate short/medium term life

span.

 

While if we take Capri Lagna, there are certain very strong points which go

as under:

 

Strong and well aspect Sun (by Mars), as 8th lord, strongly indicate the

involvement in occult/religious sectors of life.

It also provides good age

The well placed Moon and Mars and 5th house indicates abundance of wisdom.

The above factors are supported by strongly placed Mercury, the 9th lord.

The ill-placement of Jupiter (12th Lord) in 8th house under close affliction

of Ketu clubbed with Debilitation of Venus denies marital comforts.

The exalted Saturn in 10th house ensures good public status.

The Ketu Jupiter conjunction is interesting, certainly gives knowledge of

the sublime. Also gives the what I would call fanatical knowledge, it was

at least relevant for the times and considered very radical. The knowledge

was spread in airports and not always well recieved. Also his liver was

very debilitated from what I understand.

Hi Amar, Sally, Raj and list,

 

Your perspectives are very valuable.

 

Sally is correct, the preaching methods weren't always the most

ideal via airports. The radical change of lifestyle that westerners

underwent was indeed seen as fanatic and cultish.

 

Raj raises an interesting point about longelivity. He lived until 81

years of age (Nov 14 1977). That's considered long and fits with the

Cap asc.

 

He also had a weak heart. He sustained multiple heart attacks on his

voyage via boat to the US (arrived Sep 17, 1965)

 

The significations for travel, writing and speaking must have been

very strong and operational in his final years. He travelled

intensely from 65-77, established +100 centers, authored many books

on Vedic literature, and initiated thousands of people

I would presume that the source of his birth time 15:23 is " Sri

Jagganath Centre " . Was rectification done by you using SA? just

curious

dasa is very much contradictory as the Moon was transiting in Taurus at 4pm.

not in Mithune sign as you quoted from it.

 

Certainly, there is an error some where. I am still searching the recorded

conversation of Srila Prabupada in this regard.

Dear Amar,

 

I simply relayed what's in the book by Srila Prabhupada's secretary.

 

Yes, that's why there has always been a question about the birth time. Hari

Sauri who reported this, did not speak or understand any Indian languages.

It is very possible that he heard something similar, 'makara (capricorn)'.

 

Many resarchers have gone through all the recorded infomation, so it's

doubtful that you will be anymore successful in uncovering any new or

overlooked information.

 

You've expressed good sentiments in the last email for Sg asc. However to

justify your view, I believe that a proper quantification and matching of

events is required as Mr Angelino has done.

 

For Srila Prabhupada's life, there is no shortage of well documented

significant events. The books, 'Prabhupada Lilamrita,' and 'Prabhupada,'

have well documented dates that you can reference easily. Mr Angelino has

done a fantastic job with the accurate dates he has reserached.
