Mars and Jupiter are in their own house. Rahu and Ketu are exalted. Saturn is exalted. This person always came first in his class. He is away from home from 1994- till date ( from 6th standard to till date he is away from his family). In 2001, He sat for medical exam. But he could not get admission in any medical school. Then he went for computer science in september 2001 from a newly opened private engineering college. 16-Jan-2001, his father bought a bike for him. His father bought car in may 2003. He is in US since July 2005. He loves his father a lot. He has 1 younger brother. He is pursing master of science in computer engineering from US. I solved this chart and everything is in line with KAS. Please share your experience with charts that have most planets in unccha, MT, Own sign along with WS. As far i understand in KAS, any planets having more than 4 points is consider exalted. But in traditional astrology, definition of being in exaltation is different. I am trying to juxtapose and trying to see how far traditional astrology can go. I am also trying to see how the personality of a person is formed by the placement of the planets. This person is very humble, hard working and does not have a domination nature. Although Sun in placed in exaltation in 10th house (traditional astrology). While the first chart which i showed has Mars in 7th house and that person is having very dominating personality. In WS of any perticular house, he is getting power of planets less than 12 for 3 or 4 planets. It can explain to me why he could not get admission in medical school or why he pursued his engineering from a private school. So from KAS, i can understand his past. But when i apply traditional astrology, i am not able to see that why he is having so mediocre pattern of life. How is traditional astrology different from KAS? or coversely what is that we are using in KAS that is not in VA? Can u please eluciditate, then we can start to go deeper. From the chart of this person ( person B), and keeping in mind traditional vedic astrology. I dont see anything exceptional result because of exalted planet. If exalted planets are not showing their results then what is their significance ? ( exaltation from traditional point of view). As per KAS we say that many planets in unccha, own sign or MT reduce the status of chart. We also say that too many planets with more than 4 bindus (exalted as per Ashtakvarg) also is not good. We also say that its better to have more planets in neecha sign and with less than 4 bindus. That makes the chart stronger. Keep us posted on your studies. Cheers !!! Concepts like classical yogas, exaltation, etc. mean very little or nothing at all if the planet(s) are weak and/or afflicted. In this young man's chart (Cancer rising), the 10th lord Mars is the only planet that can be considered strong. The native is currently in the mahadasha of strong FB Mars, and in the sub-period of well-placed FB Mercury. Venus and Mercury are close to the MEP's of the 9th and 10th houses and exert favorable influences on their occupied/aspected houses with whatever little strength they possess. There are several afflictions in this chart, namely Rahu/Ketu to their MEP's, Ketu's exact affliction to Venus, and MMP Saturn's affliction to Jupiter within 2 degrees. To date, he has lived through the mahadashas of only FB planets. Life is not as promising for this native down the road, as he will have to spend 53 years of life, from 2009 onwards, in the mahadashas of FM planets causing widespread afflictions. 1984 was a rather unique year in the sense that the nodes were exalted, Saturn was exalted, and Jupiter was in its MT sign for most of the calendar year. It is of paramount importance that the strengths of planets are checked in detail, especially in cases where things look promising from a distance. Please keep in the mind that it is always better to have fewer planetary weaknesses/afflictions than it is to have more so-called planetary strengths (esp. in terms of exaltation).
