Guest guest
Hello Professor and List Members, I recently did a chart of someone with congenital glaucoma. The chart showed a very weak Moon (in infancy 92% and placed in the 6th house) The Leo native also has houses 8, 12, and 4 afflicted by Ketu (12%) The 12th house is the MT sign of the Moon, Cancer. At birth, the native was running the Sun-Rahu dasas. Rahu afflicts the MEP of houses 2, 6, and 10 (12%) What is the main cause of the congenital illness? How does the operating dasa affect the congenital conditions at birth in this case? Is it solely caused by a very weak Moon? The birth info: Sept. 22, 1958 5:15 am Zone:1 DST:0 10E23 43N43 Best regards, John Dorio
Guest guest
Hello Mr. Dorio, The significator for the health is the Sun, the dispositor of which is combust. As you stated Rahu afflicts the second and sixth houses and Ketu afflicts the MEP of the twelfth house besides afflicting the other houses occupied and aspected. The Moon is in utter infancy. At birth the native was in the main period of the Sun (the prime determinant of health) and the sub period of Rahu which causes affliction to the house of health, to the house where the prime determinant is placed and which rules eye. At the time of the birth in the sub period of Rahu, Rahu was stationary at 29 dgree for three months and in such a situation the natal and transit afflictions combined with sub period of the afflicting planet can cause long lasting/congenital health problems. This point regarding stationary transit influence has been brought out in my books. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Dorio, I presume that this chart belongs to the great Italian singer, Andrea Bocelli, who sang magnificently at the '06 Winter Olympics. Do you know how reliable the birth data is? Guest guest
Hi Arun, Yes, you are correct, it is the chart of Mr. Bocelli. I don't know how accurate the birth info was but here is an interesting note: At age 12, Mr Bocelli had an accident while playing soccer and he lost his vision. In 1970, which is when he turned 12, he was running a Ketu sub period. This lasted for only 2 months though after he turned 12 and then the Venus sub period began. I suppose the accident occured during the Ketu period because Venus looks too strong for something like this to happen in its sub period. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Dorio, Yes, that too during the mahadasha of MMP Moon- an extremely weak significator of vision. The nodes are near the MEP of their houses, and do exert unfavorable influences on the MT signs of Moon and Mercury. Moon (12th L) and Mercury (2nd L) jointly signify vision in this chart, and are both weak in addition to their signs being under affliction. Venus and Mercury (though weak) rising closely conjunct one another and to the MEP of the 1st house within the royal sign of Leo is exceptionally promising and is indicative of high-level success in creative fields like singing. Jupiter in the 3rd house of Libra, being the 5th lord, further amplifies this. Strong yogakaraka Mars in the 10th, in Venus' sign of Taurus, is excellent for fortune connected to profession. This strongly supports the level of rise this man has had in life, despite the utter misfortune he had suffered earlier on. Last but not least, lagna lord Sun (weakened on account of its dispositor) is placed in the 2nd house of status and wealth. The weakness of Sun, the primary significator of health for Leo, generally makes him more vulnerable to health difficulties. The chart is certainly befitting for a man with one of the greatest voices on this planet.
