Is this a recent development in SA ? Even JJ says 'Mercury afflicts

house 12 MEP 92%'.

 

Does this logic apply for all malefic lords of dushtasthanas placed

in their own MT close to MEP ? Example: Pisces Lagna @ 6:59

degrees. Venus 7:27 placed in Libra (own MT). Would it also be

considered to not afflict 8th MEP since its her own MT ?

This is not a new development. It is there for about ten years. Yes, this

is applicable for all malefic lords including Venus in Libra for Pisces

ascendant.

Namaskar Professor Sahib, Thanks. I was mistaken about this...

 

I assume that this is only for planets in MT signs and this rule is

not applicable for the planet in own signs (other than MT) or in

their sign of exaltation ? e.g. In the example, Pisces asdt., if

Venus was placed in Pisces or in taurus (close to MEP), then I

assume that it would be afflicting those houses ?

 

Also, how is the effect of the malefic in its MT close to MEP

considered ? Is it considered benefic for that house ? same Example:

Pisces Lagna, Venus in libra, close to MEP. Would Venus be

considered to benefit 8th house significations in this case ? How

would this effect be different than its placement in the same house,

but away from MEP ?
