Planetary weakness are difficult to categorize exactly as per combustion, affliction, oldage etc, as weakness in general makes it vulnerable to transit afflictions, manifested by environmental vulnerabilty. Thought the procilivity to damage by such transits can be gauged by Planetary list of weakness. In general I have found Oldage to be realized(person is aware) source of weakness and easier to overcome as one has the resource to do so.. in comparision to infancy where the significance indicated by the planets lacks resources and opportunity for growth and thus less realized. Depending upon the level of weakness there can be variance. As planet with 20% weakness as against 80% weakness would be better in results. Weak planets fail to protect and promote their significations, both particular and general, and are vulnerable to damages. The more the planet is weak more it is vulnerable for damages and the extent of damage can also be corresponding to the weakness. Multiple weaknesses and afflictions are more damaging. Does a period of a ninth lord in the fifth do any better than a period of a first in the seventh for instance? One is near Mercury second lord which is combust with final dispositor in the sixth. And it has to go through three weak dispositors The ninth lord is in the fifth but 40% old age and two weak dispositors, due to sixth house final dispositor. I think possibly the weakness would come in lack of energy or luck and results in having to work hard with little pay. They all look the same actually all in all. What would you say to this person about a forthcoming venture, that is all but signed. Looks to me it will come about by June, especially after Rahu leaves Saturn alone. And it looks like continued hard work until the Venus is strengthened at least. It looks like the Mars dasa is the best possible time for success for this person, even though all the planets are weak, the ninth in the fifth is a great place to be for a new business, combining health industry and computer software. I'm trying to see if the Mars period would show better results for this native, I'm thinking minor improvement, given all the planets have Venus in the sixth as final dispositor. Saturn is afflicted by Rahu and the nodes are in the 2/8 axis. But later, the venture could prove successful, I see the signing in May or June and the Mars dasa as a good one, but weak. Guest guest Posted February 7, 2006 Report Share Posted February 7, 2006 Dear Professor, To reflect on this chart..and in general on afflictions and interpretations: What's interesting is the more the affliction the more you can take the dire side of any dhustana into the reading. I was focusing more on the hard work aspect of the third lord in the sixth, rather than any litigation. But since Mars had two weak dispositors finally and Saturn the seventh lord had three.. I also see trouble with partners in particular. Thanks.
