Guest guest
Dear professor and fellow members, I am new to vedic astrology and read with intrest the Q & As of this forum to learn. A chart I am looking at has, Sept/6/61, Kanpur at 8:30 pm. I am confused in recognizing the weak or stong planets of the charts. Mercury is exalted in 6th, is it good (exalted) or bad (in 6th). Jupiter is debilitated in 10th with Saturn, that is in its own house in Nav. Sun sits with Rahu in 5th... How is the health of this person based on the chart? Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks
Guest guest
Hello Mamta, Saturn is weak as it is in infancy. Jupiter is weak as it is in debilitation. Moon is weak in pakshabala. Venus is weak due to weakness of dispositor. Sun is weak as it is debilitated in navamsa. Mars is weak as it is badly placed. Mercury is weak as it is debilitated in navamsa. The Sun, Saturn, Mars, Venus and Jupiter are also weak as MEP of their MT sign houses are closely afflicted by Ketu/Rahu. The pakshabala weakness of the Moon is a minor weakness. The prime determinant planets for health of this person are Mercury and Mars. As both these planets are weak and Rahu and Ketu afflict the MEP of various houses closely the health is vulnerable to problems. Best wishes, - " Mamta S. Guest guest
Hello, You are an Aries ASC, the Functional Malefics for you are Mercury, Rahu and Ketu. Except Moon in own MT, most planets have some form of weakness. Viz 1)MT(Moolatrikona) 1st lord Mars is in malefic 6th house(Badly Placed) and Weakness of Dispositor(Mercury). 2)5th MT lord Sun in own house, House afflicted within one Degree by Rahu and Debilated in D9(Navamsa) 3)6th lord Mercury in own house but debilated in D9 is weak 4) 7th Lord Venus seems to be well placed and Strong, BUT its MT lord is closely afflicted hence Weak, D9 its with Ketu 5)9th MT lord Jupiter is Debilated and MT house afflicted by Rahu and Weak 6) 11th MT lord is in utter infancy and its MT house is closely afflicted Rahu/Ketu Axis. The above should help you identify weak planets. Health Matters are difficult, as the Prime Signifactor for Health 1st lord Mars in the 6th house and weak, further Sun is weak and its MT closely afflicted in addition to close affliction to Odd houses by Rahu/Ketu.Weakness of MT 1st lord in the 6th can make one vulnerable to more than one Chronic ailments or health issues. Moon as a Signifactor for Functional health provides some Protection. Remedial Measures should help with some delay. The term weakness is to be rightly Judged, with further learning and proficiency, one can understand different forms of weakness, but in general it means weak and vulnerable to transit afflictions and not being able to promote its own and MT Significance during their Subperiods and transits, this is for your understanding. Guest guest
Dear Professor, I appreciate your looking into this! It is very depressing chart then! There is nothing good going for the person? From your analysis, it seems I should keep nav., lagna kundali and avastha of the planets in mind to even begin on a chart. Thanks fo your response, I will read and look some more and may come back with more questions. BTW, I really like your site - very informational! Guest guest
Hi Amit, Thanks for explaining the planets' weakness and how you analyzed that.. it is very useful for me to see. The mercury weakness causes the respiratory problems right? that is there. So, overall in your opinion, how is the life of this person, career and family wise. Anyone familiar with the software by www.itbix.com ? I got it recently but being a novice cannot really judge. Thanks for your time!
