Is the chanting of the Maha Mantra an effective astrological remedy? (Hare Krsna Mantra) Chaitanya Mahaprabhu stated that it can counter the effects of the planets. What conclusions do the followers of the SA have on testing the effectiveness of the sankirtan yagna on nullifying the planetary influences? Yes, I agree with you about the chanting of the Holy names of the Lord Hari (God) counteract the negative impact of the material energy and its influences. The reciting of the authorized Holy names of God which is known as Superior or Spiritual Energy is recommended in every revealed scripture minimizing the negative impact of the Material or interior energy. We, the Human being, must elevate our consciousness to the constitutinal (Spiritual) position from the present conditional position of consciousness which is full of material sufferings of all sorts that we study through horoscope. To counteract these material sufferings, we suggest different remedial process to elevate our consciousness. It is a progressive and gradual process of Elevating the level of ones' Consciousness according to the desire per se FREE WILL of each and every soul. If one does adopt and follow through sincerely the chanting of the Maha Mantra ' HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE, HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE ' which is a direct Spiritual process recommended in this Kali Yuga as revealed in the authorized scripture by the authorized personality as you said in your email, one will surely pass over the material sufferings.
