Hello Mr. Mayer,

In one sign there are thirty degrees. A planet can be combust within the

degrees mentioned either in the same house or at the most in an adjoining

house if the Sun is in the beginning/ending degree of the sign.

YOUR CHART

>FM Saturn at 3 deg 38' falls within 15 degrees on either side of Sun

SATURN IS NOT COMBUST AS SATURN IS IN PREVIOUS HOUSE AND THE LONGITUDINAL

DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SUN AND SATURN IS 29.46 DEGREES + 26.23 DEGREES =

56.09

SATURN HAS TO COVER 26.23 DEGREES (30 DEG - 3 DEG 37 MIN. = 26.23 DEGREES)

TO REACH THE HOUSE IN WHICH THE SUN IS PLACED AND THEN 29.46 DEGREES TO BE

WITH THE SUN. I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND.

> >FM Moon at 21 deg 04' falls within 12 degrees on either

> side of Sun

THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE MOON IS ALMOST 68 DEGREES AND THEREFORE THE MOON IS

ALSO NOT COMBUST.

> >MBP Jupiter at 8 deg 21' falls within 11 degrees on

> either side of Sun

>

DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SUN AND JUP IS

0.14 DEG + 30 DEG + 8.20 DEG = 38.34 DEG AND HENCE JUPITER IS NOT COMBUST.

HOPE YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO FOLLOW WITH THIS EXPLANATION.

Best wishes,

Hello Prof,

I was reading the predictive techniques and trying to

understand the below point.

" IMPACT OF COMBUST PLANETS

When the Sun is a functional benefic planet its

conjunction with other well-placed functional benefic

planets is good and gives exponential growth for the

significations of the planets in close conjunction

with the Sun. The combust planets suffer under the

transit malefic influences. This can, however, be

guarded by application of the astral remedies, to a

large extent. "

- I was taking my own chart as a case study. 7th feb

1978 00:25, Bangalore. Now in the Venus subperiod of

Rahu. Hence the interest to study impact of combust

planet sub period.

- The Moon and Venus are combust. But Sun,Moon and

Venus are FB and have good placement though Venus is

weak by strength.

What significations would see exponential growth ?

- I see transit Ketu Malefic having 5th house aspect

on the natal Venus ? Also sometime next month transit

malefic Mercury in the same house as natal combust

Moon and Venus. Are the observations correct? How to

determine what significations would suffer under this

transit malefic influences ?

Regards,

Venu

Hello Mr. Venu,

In your case the impact of the Sun on Venus adds charm to your personality

and make you clubbale when there are no transit afflictions.

Currently there is no malefic impact of transit on your natal Venus.

From next month onwards your natal Moon, Rahu, Ketu and Mercury are going to

be under the transit influence and they are indicative of problems in work

place, public relations, relationships and extra expenses. The transit

afflictions are likely to go upto June, 2006, and do cause stress.

You need to continuously propitiate your functional malefic planets Rahu,

Ketu and Mercury besides strengthening your weak planets.

Best wishes,

Hello Prof,

Thanks a lot for the informative response.

Just trying to verify my understanding of Orb of

afflication -

The natal Sun and Venus would have come under malefic

influence

of transiting Ketu from March to September 2005

The natal Mars under affliction of transiting Rahu

from January to August 2005.

Are these observations right?

I have gathered some data regarding transit time for

the planets

Sun - 30 deg per month, 1 month in a zodiac (approx)

Moon - .55 deg per hour, 54 hours in a zodiac (approx)

Rahu/Ketu - 1.6 degrees per month (anticlockwise), 19

months in a Zodiac (approx)

Jupiter - 2.3 degrees per month, 13 months in a Zodiac

(approx)

Saturn - 1 deg per month, 30 months in a Zodiac

(approx)

Are these correct? Also would like to know about the

Mars, Venus and Mercury transit times?

Regards,

Venu

Thanks also for the

THESE ARE MOR EOR LESS RIGHT BUT THERE ARE VARIATIONS.

Also would like to know about the

NORMALLY 45 DAYS IN A SIGN.

Venus

ABOUT A MONTH IN A SIGN.

and Mercury

ABOUT 25 TO 30 DAYS IN A SIGN.

BUT SOMETIME THERE ARE VARIATIONS.

Hello Prof,

Thanks for the information and also correction of my

wrong reading. I made a mistake w.r.t transit Rahu and

natal Mars.

That affliction might happen towards the end of Rahu

in Piscies and begining of Rahu in Aquarius, around

July to October 2006.

The transit Mars (in Aries,7th house) however would

have aspected the natal Mars in the period June to

August 2005 resulting in 7th house significations

getting activated.

If these are correct I'm able to note the aspects, and

afflictions considering the Orb both in the natal and

transit. Just need to interpret them to predict

events/happenings.

Thanks again for the guidance

Regards,

Venu
